Can I tell my teen her friends parents are Covidiots?

I’m so tired of hearing about all the stuff Larla is allowed to do during Covid. They eat indoors both at restaurants and in others homes, host parities and sleepovers, travel, see lots of different unconnected friend groups, both parents work in person, etc.

We are pretty middle of the road - not locked in our basement.

But I really just want to tell my kid that her friends parents are morons. And both are in a high risk category.

Why wouldn't you? I explained the details of how viruses work to my kid. He figured out for himself who is an idiot. This seems pretty clear.

You choose how you want to present yourself to your daughter. If you want to model calling people she knows morons, go for it. Those people aren’t the ones she looks to as a role model, though.

Absolutely. I wouldn't use the word morons, but I would explain why they are in the wrong.

Everybody has a different risk tolerance. Other people think you are "covidiots" because you are not hiding in your basement.

We wear masks, but go everywhere that is open except large crowds. So when we eat indoors at restaurants, we are the first or the last people there. We have done this for 5 months now.

We also do doctors, haircuts, manicures, etc. But no graduation parties, weddings, funerals or other large gatherings inside or out where people mingle close together.

No! You should take the standard approach that each family has different rules and we have to accept that people do things differently. In our house we value a life expectancy over 50. Other people do not.

This is hysterical. Go ahead, Larla's Mom. (btw your overuse o this name among these threads makes you really identifiable and annoying AF) They work in person?! How dare they have to work IN PERSON. Just because you are a bored, SAHM or teacher with no life, doesn't mean others that are mandated by their employers to work IN PERSON are idiots. Are you this out of touch or just stupid? The majority of people are working outside of their homes. Surely you see this when you are driving Larla around because you both are so neurotic you both are not invited to the parties, sleepovers, etc. you complain about.

Go ahead, have your DD lose what few friends she has left.

Your daughter needs to not be around her friend at all. Just say they aren’t being safe and following guidelines.
