We are pretty middle of the road - not locked in our basement.

But I really just want to tell my kid that her friends parents are morons. And both are in a high risk category.

Same here. We def have not been locked in the house and are middle of the road. I have no hesitation telling my DC if someone is being an idiot with Covid.

You do realize, no one cares what you think. You will just come across as the "Karen" you are.

Everyone has their own lines they won't cross. Eating indoors is ours and our kids know it. We don't call people who do more or less stupid, we just make sure our kids know that families have to make their own decisions. We don't let them go to large indoor gatherings, we're fine with sleepovers- every family is trying to navigate this and no one has any clue who is right or wrong

No! You should take the standard approach that each family has different rules and we have to accept that people do things differently. In our house we value a life expectancy over 50. Other people do not.

ha!

I probably would drop the word covidiot, but I wouldn't be shy to tell my kid what I thought.

My college kid just spent nearly a week isolated because of a person's stupid behavior (basically someone didn't disclose illness in a timely way, potentially infecting a bunch of people who weren't forewarned they should lay low until they'd exposed others... similar to showing up to class but forgetting to mention it to anyone...)

I do not use the word idiot. But it is fair to say you do not think they are making smart choices. And explain why - they are not just increasing their risk, they are like.y getting other people sick.

This type of stuff goes beyond “different rules for different families”.

right, "different rules, different families" is for the stuff where I would still let my kid go to their house.

She should know. Even our middle school knows people who act like that are selfish and have little common sense.

Everybody has a different risk tolerance. Other people think you are "covidiots" because you are not hiding in your basement.

We wear masks, but go everywhere that is open except large crowds. So when we eat indoors at restaurants, we are the first or the last people there. We have done this for 5 months now.

We also do doctors, haircuts, manicures, etc. But no graduation parties, weddings, funerals or other large gatherings inside or out where people mingle close together.

You are why we cannot return to school and why numbers are rising. You are teaching your kids to be selfish and not care about anyone else but yourself.

That's why fearful people like you should stay home. Life is going on. People are living their lives using rules put in place by the local governments, deal with it.

Shut up. Not sure where you live but schools are open and in MCO and DC the open schools are doing well. YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. The local public schools are closed because it's political. Educate yourself and try reading the Newsweek and the NPR articles. S sick and tired of you people still acting like it's March.

So by doing what she is legally allowed to do, PP is the reason we can’t return to school? Am I reading that right?
