I spend a lot of money on vacations and xmas gifts.
I'm cheap about lots of stuff: groceries, clothes, etc |
| Love spending money on jackets, cheap about my hair |
|
I'll always spend money on travel. It doesn't have to be expensive or luxury travel, but I'll never let the fear of spending money keep me from booking a trip somewhere.
I'm cheap about spending money on my hair. Especially now. I think the last time I had a haircut was January. Wash and go. |

Spend money on travel! Not necessarily first class tickets, fancy hotels, but always budget for a couple major trips a year.
I'm cheap about home decor, Marshalls, Ross, Target I love! Cheap about wine lol |
| Cheap about jewelry, accessories, etc. Spend money on groceries, I love buying food |
|
Cheap on hair products, but when I do get my hair cut/colored twice a year I go to the best and spend $300 not including tip. Having a great cut and color makes all the difference.
Cheap on clothes, spend on shoes. I buy them rarely, but I buy well made ones. Cheap on furniture, spend on art. |
| I’m a thrifty/bargain hunter on just about everything. But we spend a lot of money on travel and grandkids 529 plans. |
|
I like to spend $ on nice hotels, my wife, my house, travel and work clothes.
cheap as heck on pretty much everything else. |
|
I splurge on travel - fly first class, for instance or opt for direct flights in lieu of renting a car.
I really don’t fly that often and pre-Covid, I sought therapy for claustrophobia and panic...justifying my splurges here. I’m an over-tipper, too. I love to bargain shop and hunt for clearance items, especially at grocery stores and pharmacies. I love nice, expensive things but love paying less! |
| Spend on food and presents. Cheap on cars, not intentionally cheap but seem to have cheapish taste re: travel, and have ZERO interest in luxury clothes/jewelry/watches/bags. |
| Cheap on cars, not in the sense of cutting corners but would never buy a luxury car. Spend money on travel, kids, gifts for friends and family. |

Spend money on -
Food ingredients - organic and local (I also cook a lot), best cuts of meats Take-outs Supplements, vitamins Cleaning lady (twice a week) Tech Books, education, tutors, EC activities, hobbies. Tip well Comfortable, well made shoes Tech clothes and gear Teachers gifts during Christmas and end of school Charity to environmental organizations, NPR, Manna, PBS. Medium spending on - Cars (will buy a hybrid Japanese car over a luxury car) House (SFH, will pay for great amenities, space, comfort in moderately priced neighborhood) No designer bag, shoes, clothes - unless I really like something and it is a price I am willing to pay. Every thing under $100 Travel. Travel twice a year on foreign vacations but we are not flying first class or staying at Ritz. Cheap on - Wine (Buy mostly from Costco) Clothes (Costco, Kohls, Target, Macys). I also buy stuff that are classic and last a long time. Anything gimmicky Holiday gifts for each other. I shop around. I read CR before buying. I am not frugal and live comfortably, but I like living well on 60% of our HHI. |

I have medium length hair - all one length I go to Hair Cuttery |

Spend money on house finishes and vacations. Would rather spend 10 nights in a holiday inn in Maui than 4 nights at the Four Seasons.
I buy store brand groceries and last seasons clothes |
