Cheap: clothes; jewelry, accessories

In between: travel - we spend a lot but always look for deals, use miles, fly economy, and generally prefer boutique hotels to resorts

Spend big on investments including properties (primary and rentals). Also big on kid's education (top school district, international camps, travels, extra curriculum activities, etc.)

Spend moderate on vacations - travel for leisure at least every quarter but not luxurious hotels/business class - we are hardcore outdoor people so spend on gears and trainings etc.

Super cheap on cloths, furniture, decor, car, groceries and everything else.

I spend money on my son's education. I'm cheap about nearly everything else. That's what allows me to pay for his education.

I like going out to eat a lot (pre-covid) but not to expensive places. That was my huge splurge. Everything else I bargain shop for. My only big splurge has been my car.

Cheap: materialistic things like cars, electronics, clothes

We spend on quality Healthcare, (e.g out of network providers)
Professional development, a nice home, daughter's dance, housecleaning, visits to family in other states, entertaining (pre covid) college saving

We are frugal about buying cars, used books, sometimes used children's clothes, used furniture, eating out, simple hobbies and simple, classic, boring clothes and jewlery, skincare, beauty products, haircuts

I'm a brand snob about things like toothpaste and dishwashing liquid, toilet paper.

I'm kind of cheap about clothing and bags and stuff. My purses always come from Marshalls. My clothes come from the clearance racks at Nordstrom Rack or Macy's.

Spendy: on everyone else in the house, education for children
