I can admit we’re yuppies:

- Starbucks latte every morning

- Shop at WF, especially for fish and cheese

- Spent $100K on renovations to our house

- Completely networked Apple devices, including two Home Pods, three iPads, and WiFi-enabled lights and fans that we can control from our phones

- Bar cart on our main level that DH uses to make old fashions

- Nespresso machine

- Subscriptions to the NYTimes and The Economist

I think people don’t even really know what it originally meant. It just seems to mean well off these days.

It’s almost embarrassing.

Aren't all the yuppies now in their 70s? And are probably now neither young, nor urban, nor professionals?

Maybe OP meant preppy... but I am not even sure if that is a thing anymore these days

I would argue OP and the Whole Foods/Apple PP are still "preppy" but in an almost self-parodying and try-hard kind of way way.
