Looks like a new Gaza war has started

This is just pathetic. Biden has no evidence Hamas caused the rocket attack on the hospital otherwise he would have been more definitive in specifying that it was Hamas. Who the heck is the "the other team?" Cearly Israel's proof was not enough. He was bitten by the beheaded babies claim so he's not willing to make the same mistake twice.

+1. The White House had to 'correct" Biden's blatant lies about seeing photos of beheaded babies. I do not believe any more of his lies to prop up the Israeli government. They are 100% using this to steal more billions in aid from the US. Meanwhile, we cannot get health care for our own citizens because we must pay for Israeli war crimes.

More importantly even, the hospital was not blown up. Its parking lot was hit.

And all of the photos and videos of the aftermath show nowhere near enough damage to account for 5 dead, much less 500.

This is a lying Hamas outrage machine in action. Lying to provoke a response which would likely get embassy staff around the world killed.

So says Israel and US media.

If you don't realize that it is people like you spreading disinformation that are the problem, then their is no hope for you.

This I have not read anywhere. Where did you read those reports. I would also like to read them.

IRC BBC had reported it but it was sourced to a doctor from the hospital.

The fog of war is real. There's very little reliable reporting on the ground.

Same doctor said they were warned after the hospital was damaged by rockets on 10/14 that they needed to evacuate the hospital because it would happen again.

It is not uncommon for IDF to send text message warnings to Palestinians that they need to evacuate a certain area due to possible future bombing. I was watching a documentary from 2016 on Gaza where this is discussed. So whether the doctor is telling the truth in 2023 I don’t know, but it is true that civilians receive text warnings in advance.

Both Israel and Hamas have lied and will continue lying because it seems propaganda is going to determine who's the real bad guy in the war. Israel posted video "proof" it was Hamas then deleted said "proof". Now they are posting drone pictures of the site and you want us to believe that this time they are NOT lying? Come one, do better!

Hospital was targeted for strike, received multiple warnings as have all hospitals in North Gaza.

Archbishop Hosam Naoum, speaking alongside the Patriarchs and Heads of the Churches in Jerusalem, said that the al-Ahli Arab Hospital had received warnings by phone to evacuate on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

To the best of our knowledge, there isn’t a single rocket, of the thousands that have been fired at Israel, that managed to harm even a dozen people when it was aimed at a target and operated properly. But we’re supposed to believe that a single misfiring rocket managed to somehow blow up more than 500 people when it went awry.

Furthermore, we’re supposed to believe that the Israeli government, which possesses much more powerful missiles and bombs than Hamas, and which has been very loudly threatening to kill every man, woman, and child in Gaza, wouldn’t blow up a hospital when they’ve been aggressively bombing civilian apartment buildings and vehicles.

Right.

"Right" nothing. More and more of this "IDF blew up a hospital" crap is FALLING APART.

The photos from the blast site are SERIOUSLY calling the supposed 500 casualties into question. It hit in a parking lot and barely even damaged awnings on the hospital. There wasn't even a crater, just a few scorched cars. The damage is completely consistent with what's routinely seen from other Hamas missiles.

There are still women and children hostages possibly out there that are tortured by Hamas. I want to see the outrage over that.

You and me both. NO we will NOT forget how quick people were to condemn Israel for the Hospital bombing (and now we find out there are even lies surrounding where the bomb struck) As someone else mentioned, it spilled people on on the streets thirsty for the blood of Americans and Israelis. I will say I’m glad that the protests in the USA are happening. Leftists got way too bold and thought they could do anything with no consequences. Now they are finding out that’s not true. When friends ask me why nothing’s been done yet re: all the corruption here in the US, I just sigh and say “it hasn’t gotten bad enough yet”. We might be hitting a tipping point - finally.

The morning coverage is pretty clear what happened. Your bias, and lack of interest in facts, is also clear. If you can't meaningfully contribute to the dialogue, please excuse yourself.

Yes it is. But the initial pro-Israeli response wasn't much better. Within minutes of what happened each side reflexively blamed the other before they knew anything about what happened. The tragedy it appeared to be was irrelevent to almost everyone who opined.

Thank God that this did not cause a regional war to break out last night. I can only imagine the condition Blinken's liver must be in.

This should be a huge wake up call for everyone. Everyone looks like a fool.

1) As of right now, it seems that almost everything that was first reported may have been wrong. It seems the hospital itself was not hit, the explosion was not as big as we thought, and I am not even sure of the casualty count.

2) Both sides have spread so much disinformation that I am not willing to believe either Israel or Hamas. For Israel's part, Netanyahu's digital media guy first bragged that Israel had killed many terrorists with the bombing and then removed the tweet. Official Israeli accounts published videos that were debunked and then removed. But, frankly, this could easily be explained by incompetence as easily as by malice. As the hundreds of thousands of Israelis who have been protesting have been trying to tell us, the Netanyahu government consists of some of the least capable people in the country.

3) It may just be me, but my understanding of the audio of the telephone call by Palestine Islamic Jihad members contradicts the videos that everyone is using to prove that the missile was from PIJ. The guys on the call say the rocket came from a cemetery behind the hospital but the videos appear — at least to me — to show rockets come from quite a ways away. So, even this evidence should be considered skeptically.

4) Biden has shown himself to get ahead of his skis with information that he announces. But, I have to think that he wouldn't comment on this without fairly solid information. As a result, I assume that the US intelligence assessment is that this was a misfired rocket.

The result of this is that I am not completely sure what to think but as of this moment I'm leaning towards a rocket misfire. Sadly, facts are of little importance in this war.

Thank you for at least coming back on to state your piece, as you were very quick to report an Israeli bombing. Having you come back with some good points might help bring tensions down.

Media was very quick to blame Israel. Say what you want about Breitbart, but they are one news organization who are not interested in posting unvetted information to get clicks.

I'm sorry, but your first paragraph is a bit of both-sidesing. You can't "reflexively" blame the other side, when you know your side didn't do it.

So tired of Israel manufacturing falsified evidence to cover their decades of crimes.

LOL yes nobody had a clue about the October 7th attack but now there are ‘audio recordings’ which actually show nothing. There is NOTHING in the audio that shows this was a rocket from within Gaza. Israel bombed the hospital. There is NO video showing this was an attack from within Gaza. It’s a fact but these people just have trouble accepting this fact just like they have trouble accepting that Israel is constantly committing war crimes.

Do you not think if they had concrete evidence all the media outlets would be screaming how Islamic jihad bombed the hospital. The U.S. media journalists are all quiet because they know the truth. They just have been ordered not to report anything that would hurt Israel’s image.

They are all in a race to be first to report, and the bigger the numbers, the better. Facts be damned.
