ECNL admin team is discussing this and will make decisions shortly could possibly be tabled until 27/28 season. But it’s coming.

More "rumors". Doesn't mean much.

What do think will happen if USYS joins ECNL? They're going to take the top teams and everyone else will be either B or maybe even C teams. Not much benifit for USYS unless you consider going away a positive. Might make sense on the boys side. Doesn't make sense on the girls side.

It will be framed as collaboration. Similar to what you see them doing with their new NPL group structure. Giving top clubs in USYS a path forward is only a good thing for them and strengthens everyone when large groups work together.

More to come wait and see!

The irony is a lot of the USYS top clubs already put their top teams into GA or MSLN academy (with a shot at homegrown). They still are in USYS leagues but with their B teams.

Those teams are no longer part of USYS this would be for clubs who are only in USYS.

Right, so some clubs will be in both.

That's incorrect. A club with both is touting these changes for their B teams in USYS.

That's really no different than ECRL participating -- also B teams for some.

A club can participate in both but not 1 team. If your team is part of USYS eco system the best starting point is the new NPL.

A team in ECNL or ga or MLSN is no longer part of USYS a club can be but those teams are not.

I think you got that backwards my friend.

When I’m proven right which I will be just remember this scene from Batman.

"I never said thank you," to which Batman replies from the rooftop edge, "And you'll never have to".

So age guy is Mr USYS

Now we know why he's pushing for 36 month older players to play down.

Playing down is the only way C team players can compete against correct age/grade players.

Word of advice. Instead of trying to cut corners maybe USYS should focus on making clubs and teams better.

Your monorail sales pitch to push for grade year is responding to the wrong comment.

No worries leagues and clubs are massively discouraging playing up an age group to keep the gap no more than 12 months.

Beyond puberty though, it isn't much of a issue, hence them looking to switch older showcases to graduation year.
