LMVSC town hall

DD heard coach "seemed weird" about playing this Sunday; we come back in town this Saturday after missing past few weeks. I heard the older groups aren't going to Beach this weekend, has anybody heard anything?

Go to the CCL thread.

Oooookay I was not prepared to see how many replacement teams we have.

I don’t wish ill on others. But, what on earth is happening with LMVSC?

We left.

How do I put this lightly... probably 95% of their top level players left over the past two seasons. They’re now below 50% of what they were two years ago. LB ran out all the competent staff and coaches, replaced with not enough. But she runs the show. This will be their last year in CCL.

we have as many missing teams in CCL as we have white teams (2nd teams); our girls side is going to be completely gone. “academy training” is supposed to be the answer. LB doesn’t care. LC doesn’t care.

Who is LC? Completely agree regarding all of your statements. Girls side is completely gone. There’s no denying the fact there are 3 teams in the 9-12 age groups. And only 4 teams in the older age teams. For an advocate of women and girls in soccer (WAGS), LB is failing WAGS and LMVSC.

All excuses aside, it’s time to move on. If LMVSC was a medical practice, they’d be sued for malpractice. Soccer has evolved exponentially in recent years, requiring clubs to adapt. As the Executive Director, should LB be held to the same standards?

Does LMVSC have a 2011G Red team? We're scheduled to play them this Sunday (SYC) but from above post it sounds like they're missing one of the age groups? I know they had a 2011G squad last year, but seems like should try to validate if we actually will have a game on Sunday afternoon or not.

2011 Girls moved to NCSL I think. Daughter is playing them.

It looks like LMVSC does not have any 2011-2012 girls teams in CCL. 2011 Girls red is playing NCSL. TBH this team effectively did not have coach until 2 weeks ago, which is not a very good sign on the club's support for paying families. The struggle is real and is not a very good sign.

Arlington parent here; no idea what is happening. Both DDs were scheduled against LMVSC but played against two different clubs (PAC, TSJFCV). Apparently they canceled on Alexandria and Beach FC. Their girls aren't even doing State Cup.

I actually expected them to shrink gracefully this season- why did they register teams they didn't have?

Because they lied to us. Pressured everybody into signing as quickly as possible and told us "everything is fine, we've added players". Turns out we lost another like 1/3 of the entire club, meaning we've lost over half from when the coaching changes happened. Did you know there is only one 11v11 girls team in CCL?
