Yovanovitch’s first posting as an FSO was in Mogadishu.

Yes I’m aware of that, I was just wondering what he was trying to imply with “how did that go?”

Drumpf trying to say that the horn of Africa being a mess is all her fault. Is it not obvious? -NP

Lol ok so he was going there. Sometimes the most obvious answer is the right one.

Watch Yovanocich's face as she tries to answer Rep. Turner's question and he talks over her and then says, "Not on my time, you're done, right?"

Just wouldn't be a full day without a little GOP mansplaining from a pompous prick.

Video is on there. She is very articulate and weighs her words, so he just comes across as a jackass.

What a prick. They all are.

The R's were coming across all "I respect that you had boots on the ground" and "all your service" blah blah blah but a leopard can't change their spots.

Yup. By the end of the day some Russian troll will have photoshopped her head onto the men dragging our Marines through the streets.

he's trying to imply that a first tour junior officer on the visa line in the 80s under Reagan is responsible for what happened in the late 90s under Clinton.

Basically, he's counting on everyone being too stupid or lazy to pay attention to the dates. Sadly, he's probably right in his assumption.

Desiree Times is running against Turner. I hope she beats him. Done with these arrogant pricks.

I didn’t get to watch any today so I’m having to rely on Twitter and you guys for quick bites. I thought everyone would enjoy the standing ovation they gave Yovanovitch when she left.

We have all the funding we need out of Russia.’ I said, ‘Really?’ And he said, ‘Oh, yeah. We’ve got some guys that really, really love golf, and they’re really invested in our programs. We just go there all the time.’

Donald Junior spoke at a real estate investment conference in 2008 and said “Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross section of a lot of our assets” and “we see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.”

This is because laws put in place in the past to help prevent money laundering in connection with criminal activity, terrorism, financial fraud, etc ended up NOT including real property, although that was considered at one time. So real estate is where bad actors stash their ill-gotten gains, including kleptocrats from the former USSR. Just following the rule of Willie Sutton.

I think this is more likely the leverage than any "pee pee" tape.

He is trying to imply that Americans caused or worsened the civil discord in Somalia. A lovely position for our President to take. I'm sure our diplomats around are feeling lousy about all this.

Agree. Do his words sound like the words of a person who has the U.S. interests at heart, or more like maybe our enemies' mouthpiece? He's constantly undermining the U.S. and U.S. interests.

Pence is boring. People still stay home if he's on the ballot.

Pence won't win, he isn't beholden to Russia so they aren't going to manipulate people for him. That is the way Trump one.

Maybe the Rs can find someone else.

Manafort installed Pence.
Pence was part of the shakedown.

Wrong. The GOP is crooked, no doubt. You just watch and see what election 2020 shows amongst Americans, smart and stupid.
