| Jesus. Let’s reset. Games tomorrow? |
and extremely well coached. As for the parents, we used to joke that the gated trailer parks wasn’t to keep the people out but tha lacrosse parents in. 😂 But really, they aren’t much worse than most lacrosse parents. You all suck in your own ways |
| A couple scores from tonight other big games: Madison v SSSA (17-10, SSSA) and Yorktown v Meridian (14-10, Yorktown). Anyone have insights on either of these games? |
That’s a pretty good score for Madison. Congrats Bernardo SSSA is having a great season |
Considering the Saints are #9 in the nation, that’s a great result for Madison. |
| Is the bf/robo video not available? |
After what we saw tonight it’s clear that battlefield has little to no actual skill and relies on hurting players and getting away with it. Goggles were flying all over the field tonight and battlefield had no cards and barely any calls. Soon that’s gonna come back to bite them. They will seriously injure someone this year and i’m calling it.
Oooooh. Hello bitter Robo parent |

Oooooh. Hello bitter Robo parent
Bf and Robo are both talented teams and it was a close game throughout. Unfortunately it was clear the refs did not control the game for safety from the beginning, and one player was hurt pretty badly due to a swinging stick without so much as a whistle. It’s hard to see a girl you’ve known for years get injured like that and not react protectively. We’ll all take a big breath and reset this morning. I hope we can redirect the conversation to positive encouragement of our girls on all teams as players and humans, and include some conversation about the role ref’s can play in helping to keep games safe. |
To be clear, SSSA could've run it up more if they wanted, though there's a limit on how much you can take your foot off the gas when literally ever player on the team is committed. They are a fantastic team, and it was great training for the girls to get to play them. Kudos to the Madison coaches for putting this on the schedule. |
As the famous poet once said. Read em and weep. Signed Barry Manilow. |
Here is what I will say as a BF parent from last night. I think the refs allowed the girls to play, and called what they saw. Now, having said that, I did see the play you spoke about and I agree, it was a blatant yellow card, and the BF girl should have been out. The reality is that it is always easier to see these things in the stands than it is on the field. And, as a ref, they are not allowed to pull a yellow card if they did not actually see the stick hit the head (unfortunately, due to too much flopping, and I am not accusing her of flopping in this case, as I saw the hit). That was an unfortunate miss on the refs. All of the other plays people have spoken about above that could have been yellows, there were fouls called on most of them, just not yellow cards. These are two highly respected refs known in the area. They are also high level college refs. They are human and will not see everything that we see in the stands. But I also wanted to validate your concern, as I did also see it and it absolutely should have been called. I really respected the way Robo played, as they gave it right back and both teams fought hard |

| Takes place after season. |
