BF is a good team
Lots of young talent
Little depth
Ton of grit
Absolutely psycho parents
I was there scouting and ROBO parents are no saints. Both teams played aggressive and refs let them. Battlefield had a lot of 8 mm. So someone was calling it.

From Patriot the only contenders I see are

Robo Mid
Woodson Mid
Robo Attack
Lake Braddock Goalie

Any other insight
When does voting take place? Is it at the end of the regular season?
List is accurate. I would include Woodson attack as a one to keep eye on as well. Def not this year as other posters have posted out, I dont think any underclass should be in consideration

I think its Robo Mid as front runner from Patriot for POY. Maybe Woodson Mid as runner up

I agree. Are any of these players committed?

I would say its really close between Woodson Mid, Robo Mid and Robo Attack and tough to choose a frontrunner with some games still left. Woodson and Robo still have to play each other and there are a few district games left for each team.

Does having two POY candidates on the same team hurt both candidates? Seems that may hinder Robo’s two stars for POY since they may split votes.

Of the teams that I have seen in person, strong contenders include:

Madison: SR Attack
Robo: SR Attack, SR Middie
BF: SO Attack, JR Goalie
WF: SO Goalie

I would heavy lean Madison SR Attack. Didn't consider players on other top teams (Oakton, YT, Woodson, McLean, Cosby), but they likely have players worthy of mentioning.

I would think the current 11th and 12th graders that were on All-State last year would be contenders. I have not seen all play this year but they are:

1. Madison Attack
2. Oakton Attack
3. Robo Attack
4. Yorktown Mid
5. Battlefield Goalie

My top 3 are:

1. Madison Attack
2. BF Goalie
3. Robo Attack

In that order.

Solid lists, but irrelevant. POY should go to the best player on the State winning team! Imho

Agree and all 3 of those teams are state contenders.

Yes because in every league only the championship team will have the best player? That is not what that award is for. So with all due respect, i100% think it needs to go to the very best player out there not just to a player who led their team to a title

Lake Braddock over West Springfield, 9-6.
