Chelsy and Cressida are rich heiresses, they had better options. It was not the Royal life, it was Harrold, he was an ass to both women.

IDK. Will also was keen to marry a blonde aristochick and dumped Kate multiple times to try to get with them, but they didn't want a Royal life and yes, had other options. Both boys were basically going to have to marry commoners who viewed the marriage as a big step up. I don't see Harrold as being an ass unless you apply the same to William who was roundly rejected.

He finally "did the right thing" after being told to shit or get off the pot.

There is zero comparison between a relationship over a decade between two same aged people who met at 20 and a quick let’s get mawwied relationship between a no-college-cheat halfwit and frigging late 30s divorcee. Try again.

Yes, three years is a massive age difference. He’ll be changing her diapers when he’s barely legal to drink.

You’re being an idiot, which is obviously a from-birth condition for you. Harry’s inability to attract a stable relationship that could develop and mature is a known thing. He was a ripe mark. It’s not analogous to William and Kate. It’s not an accident that Harry was amenable to rushing into a relationship despite warnings from people who actually cared about him.

Warnings from who? The pedophile uncle ? The dad who wished he was a tampon ? Who takes cash in suitcases like a money laundering thug ? The brother who can't unequivocally state that he's been faithful to his wife. Speaking of , Harry could end Williams marriage tomorrow if he feels like it.

“Cash in suitcases” like on a game show?

You clearly didn’t read the excerpt. It was the squeezable kind. If you let it drop onto a finger using gravity it doesn’t touch skin. But even if it wasn’t, it’s not that gross. I find it funny that people put their kids in daycare and sleep in hotel rooms that hundreds have slept in and then get squeamish about sharing a tube of makeup.

People are allowed to have their preferences.

Of course they are. But they should have the brains to know that preferences aren’t universal.

Exactly. No need to pout if someone doesn’t want to share lipgloss with a practical stranger.

Definitely not ghost written. It’s so bad it has to be Harry’s.

You haven’t read the book yet.

+1. PP hasn’t read it as it’s not out yet but KNOWS by his extra special intelligence that it’s bad. And a quick google would have told you that Harry has a high profile ghost writer on this project.

I bet the ghost writer is now wishing he could disappear like an actual ghost. 😂

2) Meghan was never cut out to be an obedient princess. She was/is a nice but ambitious and hard working woman with a vision of what she wants out of life, a clear feeling about what she believes is wrong and right, and an unwillingness to compromise herself entirely for anything or anyone. And in the end, this clashed with the institution and doomed her. She was never going to not fight back. And if you admire that quality overall you support her, and if you think she should have been thanking the gods for landing her a prince and keeping her mouth shut as she enjoyed the trappings of the royal life than you hate her.

Meghan thought that the whole institution of the BRF should be bent to suit her because she's so special. And when it didn't, she cried. She was fighting back against what she perceived as slights, but is in fact just reality: you, Meghan, are NOT as important as Kate, because hierarchy. And this hierarchy will not change based on how fabulous or glamorous or popular you are. That's why they get priceless art and you get IKEA. Both of you live in places you do not own and never will.

I mean I think your read is incredibly oversimplified and reduces her to a caricature of a human being. I think any American introduced so abruptly into the institution would struggle greatly. Kate spend YEARS going through royal training while dating and breaking up with Will to be able to tolerate all the indignities with grace and a smile. She was literally being groomed since childhood for it. All of the british royals are, and they're all pretty screwed up!

Meghan had a difficult time with it but the real difference between her and the rest of them is that she just hadn't been taught to suppress it, smile and not talk about it or show it in any way shape or form no matter what anyone does or says to you.
And I say that with EMPATHY for Kate Middleton and Diana Spencer and Camilla and Fergie and Beatrice and Eugenie and Margaret and Anne. It is a brutal world, gilded, but brutal.

But Meghan HAD been offered advice and mentorship on the Windsor way, and she declined. It's not like she was thrown into it headfirst, she chose to dive in despite warnings. Don't you think it's a special kind of arrogance to think you already know all there is to be known, and you know better?

She was thrown in headfirst! This happened over months! Kate went through literal YEARS of blowups, trainings, retreats, breakups, reconciliations, more blowups etc before she was married in. Acting like something that took Kate YEARS to learn was something she could fully understand after a few months, with a MUCH larger press spotlight (Kate went through this before the 24/7 news cycle) is just unfair.

The 24/7 news cycle started in the mid-80s, when Kate was a pre-schooler. And the press spotlight was way bigger on someone who could be the queen one day than on someone marrying the fifth or sixth in line for the throne.

I doubt 99% of people posting here have any intention of buying it to support someone's fancy lifestyle. You can help an actual homeless eat a meal with that money.

Yeah! We don’t get straight from the horse’s mouth, mean, petty gossip about one of the most famous families in the world every day!
Agree, WOW! Such fun as a minor hobby! Thanks, Harry and Meghan for the entertainment!

Hilarious!

My husband's reaction to the news about the fight was, "They're brothers, of course they have fights. I had worse-sounding fights with my brother and we get along fine."

The people who are all offended about brothers fighting have never had brothers (or apparently known anyone who did).

I have three brothers and a fight like this as adults would in fact be a big deal. Where one of them hurled insults at the other about his wife and then when asked to cool down ripped an article of clothing and threw the other one to the ground? I mean sure as kids, even teenagers. But not as adults, that would be a major, serious, consequence laden event.

Yeah, we have brothers. They’re just intelligent mature adults, not mouth-breathing Cro-Magnons.

it may be a long time coming, but eventually, her mom will die and they'll find out how alone they've made themselves.

They won't be together at that point.

Exactly. And she might be on her second or third husband by then. Oh, I forgot, H is her second husband! Make it her third or fourth.

His dad is on second wife . So....?

You are really stupid. Diana died sugar plum.

Diana died after they were divorced. Camilla is the (mistress turned) second wife.

“Sugar plum?” That person is either 12 or 80 (oh, and also, wrong).

The RF sycophants on here are hilarious as well as ignorant of all of the things that family has done that are self-serving, racist, hateful, vindictive to members of their own family. It's laughable, actually. H and M's treatment fits that pattern and is why I believe it. Good for them for giving them the middle finger.

Same. I think a lot of people aren't royal watchers aside from "let's see the wedding dress" are hearing the most recent stuff and think Harry's the good guy.

Royal watchers aren't normal and have to accept that the majority of people aren't enthralled by these people the way they are.

The majority of people I have seen online are like me - not royal family watchers or supporters at all but we started seeing Harry and meghan headlines everywhere = both promoting their stuff and reporting on their stuff and started reading and listening to things. I am sure there are a few ardent RF supporters who don't think the RF can do any wrong but I dont give a fig about the RF and Harry comes across as an immature and petty man. I don't really care about Harry and Meghan either but content on them is being shoved in our faces online 24/7. They are digging their own graves.

Not really. They are online 24/7 right now but give it a week and something else will be there. I don't know these people and they are like any other thing in the media, don't like them, don't care, then click elsewhere, read elsewhere, watch elsewhere. It only takes a second to change over to something else and never see them again.

I can't help but feel secondhand embarrassment for their decisions. I wonder if they just laid low for the next few months...no media interviews, no book releases or social media or podcast or awards ceremony...maybe they could wipe the slate clean a bit? Show up to the coronation with little pomp and circumstance or releases on what she is wearing or what their travel plans are.

Signed,
Not a PR expert

I think after this drama, people would be even more interested in watching them at coronation. Its a vulgar reality show. They are doing better than Kardashians.

They were laying low and still posted nasty things about meghan after the Queen's death accusing her of being demanding and all other sorts of drama when she wasnt even there. They make a lot of money with articles about how terrible of a person Meghan is and this will never, ever change. Harry even stated that their of their own press offices will greenlight bad articles about other family members. How/why is this even allowed to happen? Oddly, the american press has no such stories of Meghan being a horrible human either before Harry or now?

There are stories about her being a diva before Harry. They weren’t worldwide news because no one knew who she was.

Was she being a diva out of her rented, 1 bedroom, garden level Toronto apartment?

Wait, I thought she was a rich, famous, successful actress when she married Harry? The Meghan defenders can’t keep their stories straight.

In any case, yes, there have been stories from people who worked with her in Toronto.

Jean Malek who directed the Canadian clothing commercial Meghan did in 2016 posted on Facebook "She's definitely the meanest person I've met in my life. Just sayin."

Anyone who says “just sayin” is an imbecile, so maybe take her opinion with a grain of salt.

Lol. Do you really think the Brits don’t care about a divorced black American marrying into their royal family? The spotlight has been way way bigger on Meg than Kate. I won’t even mention the personal vendetta some British media personalities have against Meg.
