Yes, I do.  For a while at least, maybe he could have been shot by an officer outside.   We have locks on our house and office.  Locks are a great device for doors.  If used.[/quote]

My very rough high school had security guards, metal detectors, and an on-site gang liaison officer on loan from the local police (more specialized than SROs of today) and a hardened entry lobby.  We did have students bring weapons to school but they were always caught due to these safety measures.  The only reason my poorly-funded district prioritized safety was because it was a town-based school district, NOT a bumbling, massive blob of a county school district.  I am surprised that nothing like this has happened around here with the mental health challenges that DMV students face.[/quote]
