How are the Capital teams doing in the NGLL? That's right they don't have any. Looks like M&D DC are playing it smart and focusing on development of their new model. So far, the 2029 team is a success. With success comes growth.

This is a tellingly defensive response that avoids the question. Capital has always been a high school team. The argument of the M&D DC boosters on this page is that they can start earlier and develop strong teams that don't need to try out for Capital, highlighting their 2029 team, which includes 9 players from another club poached before the 8th grade season. If the argument for M&D DC has any weight, they should have strong teams being pulled together at 2030 and 2031 playing in NGLL. But they don't...

Again, no sane person is making that argument at all, except you presenting it. They have one bonafide team, a new parent that took over just a year ago. Whether younger teams get better is TBD, as 2029 was an outlier even before the newbies.

A 2031 is also in 6th grade, ffs. Maybe the whole team is turned over, maybe only the best of them get after Capital or YJ or whomever in a couple years because there's no traction. Maybe they all pick up field hockey. Capital's awesome sauce, so shouldn't they just sit back and let all the talent flow to them when the time comes? What, me worry?

I can tell you this, if zero Capital boosters showed up to hawk the M&D DC 29's, they wouldn't be getting any blowback at any time.

Wait a minute - all of this M&D DC yap and the team is built off a bunch of girls that left Pride just this year?

2028 was bad… 2029 is shaping up well to rival them. Keep it up. All your girls are the next Charlotte North. Capital or whoever can’t even assist them. They are good on their own

You should quote somebody so we can see what you're pointing out.

40 pages should be enough evidence

I think they just mean the 2028 thread got progressive nastier leading up to Capital tryouts and we’re on pace to rival them. A looming Capital tryout (and immediately following finding out rosters) definitely brings out the crazy in every grad year.

Are there openings on MDDC? Seems like they have all the players they need. Why would any of them leave?

Probably because they don’t like the fact their kids aren’t playing as much.

MDDC would be happy to sub a few of their players for blc girls. If you think your DD has the chops to hang with this group, she should try out.
