During a campaign fundraising event in June, President Joe Biden's disoriented state while onstage left former President Barack Obama "startled," The New York Times reported.

The event in question — a Los Angeles fundraiser hosted by Jimmy Kimmel — included a viral moment where it appeared Obama led a frozen Biden offstage. At the time, the White House dismissed the notion, saying Biden paused for applause.

According to an anonymous former Obama aide who spoke to the Times, the former president was surprised by how Biden had "aged and seemed disoriented."

Personally I’m tired of hearing about the likes of Jimmy Kimmel and George Clooney having any say, beyond their single vote in the ballot box, about choosing our leadership. That goes too for all the Hollywood and Wall Street donors who think they own us.

What about the other side: Elon Musk, Miriam Adleson, Peter Thiel, Timothy Mellon, the Koch brothers, the Winklevoss twins, and more who think they own us.

Biden always has been a petty tyrant who believes his own spin about himself. He’s always been an angry vengeful blowhard who blames everyone else for his troubles. He always sees himself as the victim.

Which is why he’ll stay put

Biden has the most impactful legislative record since LBJ or maybe even FDR. And even with FDR it took him 10+ years to get his vision enacted. Biden got a beast of an agenda in only 4 years.

Biden reminds the very wealthy in this country of FDR. The bankers seriously thought about staging a coup against FDR because he was old, very effective, and pro worker. The parallels are kind of uncanny. Biden makes the wealthy extremely nervous because he’s got working class roots and has nothing left to lose.

What impactful legislative record does he boast ? I’m genuinely shocked by this .

Why would the bankers be upset with the man whose state of Delaware is a banking and credit card company hub ? Biden supported bailing out the banks and wanted another stimulus for them when Obama balked at a second one. Biden is a long time friend of the banking industry .

Biden’s father was a rich car salesman. He gambled And drank some of his fortune away but Biden grew up with money. That’s why he was able to get to law school with terrible grades and a plagiarism record

Trump went to Penn because he had a rich dad. So what?

About the only candidate I'd consider from that list is Mark Kelly. He negates Trump getting his ear nicked since he risked his life flying dozens of combat missions in Iraq plus was a freaking astronaut, unlike draft dodging fake-bone-spurs Trump, and Kelly's wife survived a far worse assassination attempt than the one on Trump. Plus, he's from a border state, he's more realistic and pragmatic about the border and immigration than Biden or Trump.

Scoring assassination attempts are we?

We can't risk losing any senate seats. Kelly isn't happening

We get to sit back and watch him decline further in the next 6 months.

"Rich car salesman" is like "jumbo shrimp." Biden grew up middle class, unlike Trump, who never had to work hard a day in his life, who never faced any accountability, who never struggled a day in his life, whose father gave him $200,000 a year every year making him a millionaire by the time he was 5. And then handed him a business empire worth a half billion dollars. I have to laugh when people try to pretend Trump is a "self made successful billionaire" - for one he probably isn't worth a billion and secondly he would be richer today if he had just put what his father gave him into an index fund - a huge number of his business ventures have been complete failures and he has very poor business sense.

"Told" by who? I keep looking at those headlines from the OP from a couple of days ago saying Biden was imminently stepping aside yet NONE OF THAT SEEMS TO BE ROOTED IN ANY KIND OF REALITY WHATSOEVER.

These "sources" that the media and DNC elites keep pointing to seem to largely be fictitious and none of these supposed conversations with the Bidens or any White House insiders are likely even happening at all.

I’m not participating in this revolt. I voted for Biden in the primary and I expect my vote to be honored. A switch at this point would be an attack on democracy.

Then you don't have anyone I'd vote for.

Anonymous sources were used daily during the Trump administration. No one doubted anonymous sources then. Why now are they not allowed to be quoted?

You are really obsessed with posting here. Real Democrats understand that
1. Their options were limited in the primary thanks to Biden
2. Biden stepping down because of his health is not "an attack on democracy" don't be daft

Biden allies say 'elites' are disenfranchising voters who want the president to stay in

Members of the party's base, particularly Black and Latino voters, are warning that efforts to push Biden out of the 2024 race are undemocratic.

REHOBOTH, Del. — As President Joe Biden faces a wave of new calls from elected officials to end his re-election bid, his political allies are actively exploring ways to publicly demonstrate he still has widespread support among key elements of the Democratic Party’s base, according to three Democrats familiar with the discussions.

The new effort is aimed at turning the pressure campaign against Biden back on party insiders by seizing on anger and frustration among some voters who feel disenfranchised by attempts to push the candidate they cast their ballots for aside, the Democrats said.

If the Democratic elites push Biden out and disenfranchise 14 million voters like me, the Democratic legislators are no better than Republicans,” said one top Biden surrogate focused on reaching Black voters. “Democrats lose the so-called save democracy argument, and it will appear racist.”

Rallying the core of the Democratic Party base, particularly Black and Latino voters in battleground states, is a warning shot of sorts to high-dollar donors, party leaders in Washington, D.C., and candidates on the ballot this November who will need those voters to win their own elections — and to be successful in defeating Trump, regardless of who his opponent is. It comes as Biden faces diminishing options for turning around a campaign that is shedding support from lawmakers and donors.

At some point the public becomes disinterested in hearing astroturfed Biden step down crap and this isn’t A1 and A-block and viral anymore. Frankly, it’s disgusting that all these PACs and billionaire robber barons think they get to act like mob bosses and muscle a POTUS out of a campaign.

This is cuckoo.

And of course the Dem senators and congresspeople from across the country as well as pundits, editorialists, donors and voters asking Biden to withdraw are not being controlled by a small group.

AIPAC and Zionist billionaires. Politicians are just lapdogs for donor class and PACs.
