Nothing Oher has said about the Touhy constitutes fraud against him. Even if we take his claims as true. |
You’re wrong about lying and you’re wrong about what happened with JD. |
Why am I reading that none has been filed as is expected? You make up so much stuff. What happened to your claim that numerous lawyers had dropped the case? |
Riiight. They're going to make some stuff up. |
WTF do you think they can't produce receipts, bank statements, contracts, etc? Do you think they operate in some bizarre cash less world with bags of money under their mattress? You're just so clueless about how any of this works. |
I meant Cash Only world. That's just not how these people operate. They have bank accounts. They can provide bank statements. People also don't file their taxes doesn't mean they don't actually have the paperwork. They just didn't do it. |
I loved the movie, thanks to Sandra Bullock. The Oscar is a non-issue. She just lost her longtime boyfriend to ALS. She should not even be mentioned in regards to this. Her acting is what won the Oscar. |
"Make some stuff up." Is that how you think this works? Are you still wrapping your head around what "punitive damages" are? |
We know because MO’s own lawsuit saying nothing about any actions except the movie. And he has entered into many contracts since the. NFL etc. Let’s stick to the facts. |
What I’m gathering is Oher thought conservatorship was synonymous with adoption; adoption was for someone under 18 while conservatorship was for someone 18 and over. He thought adoption and conservatorship did exactly the same thing, make someone legally a member of a family. According to him, this is what Sean told him. I personally had never heard about conservatorship until Britney Spears, I doubt most people had.
The filing seems to be requesting a termination of the conservatorship and an accounting of how it has operated. I think this could have been avoided. I think they could have quietly resolved this with their lawyers through mediation. I don’t think Michael trusted the Tuoyh’s since the Blind Side movie (I hated it) and I think the Tuoyh’s felt insulted that Micheal was asking them questions about the conservatorship. I don’t think they set out to financially exploit him but ultimately this is what the wife is doing. Since this story broke I believe we have only heard from Sean and the book’s author (a family friend) and according to them Oher has been demanding money otherwise he will go public with his story. Sean says he has family group chat from at least 2020. It also appears that Oher asked for an explanation about the conservatorship and how it has worked over the years and none was provided. |
To me it sounds like the Touhys got mad Oher was a little too “uppity.” It’s past time this conservatorship was terminated. |
Agreed. |
JD won his case. |
There is no accounting because there is nothing to account for. I bet they never opened a bank account. It sure looks like they never took any of Ohrr’s money in. He may claim the movie money but it looks like he got it or it went into a trust for his kids. And the money never came into the conservatorship. In other words it was never part of it. So their accounting will say nothing to a cou t for. He will say BS. There will be a hearing and Oher will be able to argue that they should have to account for movie money but nothing else. They will do that. If he knew about the trust for his kids and approved it, case over. I do think the family will be ordered to pay the cost of Oher’s lawyers as a sanction for not terminating the conservatorship. But then the case is over. |
I agree that the specific nature of the complaint filed could have been avoided - but I believe that court intervention is needed to terminate the conservatorship. Additional details about the family's wrong doing could have been omitted. |
