2024 Boys Private School Results /Game Schedules/ Commentary

"academically prep is equal to or slightly worse than Landon?" On what planet do you live? Gonzaga is harder academically than Landon for God's sake.

Gonzaga is a borderline glorified public school with a service aspect it.

College placement and curriculum are slightly above average.

Last time I checked.....this was about lacrosse. Nobody cares about "academic rigor" as it has zero effect on lacrosse. Go post in the Private & Independent Schools thread.

How do you get the Gonzaga/Prep grad off your front porch? Easy, pay for the pizza.

SJC schedule has been posted.

15 regular season games. Gilman and BL from Baltimore MIAA are the only MD teams on their schedule outside regular WCAC league foes.

Wes really challenging his squad with Culver, Saint Anthony’s, and Taft.

Amen. Pro tip….nobody really cares where you went to HS once you actually graduate from HS.

Not that impressed by the Cadet' overall schedule.

Culver, BL, Taft, Saint Anthony's, and Hill Academy will be great non-league match-ups.

The WCAC is down this year, way down. Gonzaga will likely be the only team from the Catholic league who gives SJC a game this Spring as PVI graduated a huge senior class and DM also graduated a ton. The rest of the league is very sub-par. Will be interesting to see if Good Counsel begins to make positive strides this Spring.

Either Wes has pissed off a lot of area coaches and they are boycotting playing SJC all together or area programs are just scared. My gut tells me it's a combination of both.

And with Duenkel likely missing his senior campaign due to injury, combined with graduation losses of Big Tastey in the goal and Wheller at the face-off X, the Cadets national aspirations will likely fall back down to reality.

Taft will be down, their coach left for St Annes Belfield in Charlottesville. STAB will be on the rise.

Forgot the Taft coach left for STAB down in Charlottesville. Taft is still a very good program as they allow PGs to compete, they will be the favorite.

Will be interesting to see how good STAB gets over the next few years.

Given Prep has now kids going to TAMPA to play lacrosse, that shows you the academic standards have dropped.

That’s an odd one, for sure, unless there’s some weird transfer portal strategy.

Tampa is the top D2 lax program and great weather and campus. What is odd is adults commenting on someone they do not know. Very sad.

Lenoir-Rhyne won the D2 title last season. So that would make them the top program until somebody else wins or they repeat. And they split the season series with Tampa. So, nice try.

You are a 18 y/o kid. You want to go to Tampa or Lenoir-Rhyne?

Not very impressed by playing 6 possible top 25 teams out of 15 games? Tough critic.

Must be a Prep parent.

Bishop O’Connell
Ireton
Carroll
Ryken
Bishop McNamara
Good Counsel

Preps JV team would likely beat these varsity teams.

Sure the Cadets play some elite teams, but the bottom of the WCAC has some teams that would struggle to even compete with IAC bottom feeder STA.
