That 07 team has plummeted in the rankings. |
This is a pathway. Jealousy is unbecoming. |
And here we go again. Keep stomping those feet! |
The poster is right US Club Soccer is ECNL. US Club soccer is NPL NPL was made ECNL-R and structured like ECNL for specific purposes. US Club soccer is teaching US Soccer how it’s done. 😂 FCV is not getting ECNL while staying in their current location. Period. End of Story. FCV must move into BRYC territory and work something out with ECNL to have a chance |
| ^^^And that is exactly what FCV is positioning itself to do. VIVA is in Annandale near the St. James. Get rid of underperforming BRYC and it’s a done deal. |
Bryc leaving doesn’t give ECNL to FCV….do you understand? It’s a geographical think. FCV must leave Loudoun and move to BRYC territory to get it. Hopefully you understand the reason….. And that’s a big IF….I see Skyline FC taking over any new spots. You heard it here first. |
NOVA doesn’t need another ECNL club and BRYC leaving doesn’t necessarily mean FCV is in either. The reason BRYC is so bad will not be changed by FCV moving there. BRYC is surrounded by ECNL clubs and already being a poor performer keeps them from drawing quality players when VDA, Arlington and McLean/Union are better draws and overlap geographically. Virginia clubs that would get ECNL before FCV would be Skyline and Beach. But North and South Carolina need more clubs so that ECNL can realign and condense divisions. Adding 2 more VA clubs could make for a reasonably sized division with less travel. But North and South Carolina need to add clubs too. What is keeping FCV out of ECNL are a couple of things. 1. Over saturation in NOVA 2. Politics 3. Lack of a boys side. (Yes Villarreal address that but those other issues just complicate it. Also, with Evergreen where will FCV be isn’t going to help. |
Saturation and proximity to an existing member. That’s it |
LOL ECNLr is for the second teams. It is not a pathway to anything. You really think ECNL will spend any time or resources pushing ECNLr to colleges?I got a bridge to sell you. ECNL’s path way in ECNL. GA will be better vs ECNLr any day of the week for anyone interested in college. |
| This is pathing that wasn't working when FCV and BRYC attempted a back door partnership. Starting in ECNL - R is requisite to show readiness to advance. Similar to the Cleveland Force starting ECNL R and now going ECNL. Give the pathing 2-3 years and they may very well be ECNL |
That would require FCVs B teams to dominate ECNL-R. That’s not going to happen. |
Incorrect. A team can play on B - they will have to do this to get their heavy rosters playing time. Some teams have 22+ |
They can but they will not want to and they will not be asked to do so either especially during recruiting years. Only dual roster or subs would ever play in a ECNL-R game. This just isn’t going to work out the way you think or hope it will. If you want to play in ECNL then go to anyone of several ECNL clubs now versus hoping something happens. |
So the DA-rostered players will be playing games against NPL teams? |
No other way to give 20+ A team players enough game time. |
