The question is, why did they take so many guest players? Hahaha, the BETHESDA YOUNG GENTLEMEN couldn't play a national tournament with their regular kids? I guess if you can't beat SYC with the regular line up, you call up players from other clubs for a major tournament. By the way, the top SYC Samba Boyz beat Bethesda's top team 10-1. Good luck to both teams in the tournament though, the kids are not to blame for all the ignorant parents here.

Maybe not all the families of the regular players wanted to spend thousands to travel to a summer tournament because, I don’t know, these are 9 year olds?

Since that early game they have played up a year to u10 for all season games and tournaments- and winning.

As pp mentioned above, teams develop.

In any event this is all rich coming from a club that uses guest players for major games and tourneys more than any other club we see in the DMV.

The 10-1 win was against BSC’s academy 2 team, in a tournament. Totally different team/game. But syc did beat a1 during the regular ccl season; we just don’t know the score.

I wonder if SYC took advantage of poor/inexperienced refs and played very rough (arguably, dirty) in that game? I wonder if SYC treated it as their Super Bowl (complete with scouting BSC and recording BSC's games) and BSC just showed up and played? I wonder.

Anyway, good luck to both teams.

Really doesn't matter what you wonder. The score was 10-1. SYC crushed Bethesda. Pretty simple as to who is top dawg in the DMV, today!

That was my point - SYC does this more than any team we see in the DMV, at least on boys side, whether MLSNext or major tournament play. The results vary immensely when they do not have double- or triple-rostered players popping in for games. Everybody who sees their teams more than two or three times a year knows exactly what is going on there.

Im glad to see more and more people are seeing this. Im not sure what the purpose is for boasting so much about one team. I dont have any skin in the game but will tell you as a team especially being so young and all from one club this won't last long. I hope they are studying the books twice as hard as they play soccer. They will need it sooner than later.

The hate on this forum for a bunch of 8 year old soccer players is absurd. You don't like the way their club is run, fine. But these are kids. They are playing the game they love and playing it well. It is ridiculous the way that adults on this page continue to ridicule and bash them.
