We’re not vaccinated yet either.

You are probably more aware of the risk Covid poses to you than most on this site.

DH got vaccinated first back in December so he has eaten indoors. I have not as I just got vaccinated. Going forward, wondering if we can go to a restaurant. We always eat early so we would be first seating.

Would you eat out with unvaccinated kids when parents are vaccinated?

Absolutely. Covid is not particularly dangerous for kids. Once adults are vaccinated it’s hard to to justify restrictions on children.

I probably would, yes. But we are not vaccinated yet, so that is not an actual option for us.

I took my son to an outdoor restaurant for the first time a few weeks ago, and it was more stressful than I anticipated. Lots of young drunk people in close proximity, and harder to keep my kid contained than I thought it would be. Made me reconsider even outdoor dining.

Would not eat indoors. Can't understand how anyone can.

Face it; while you were hiding at home, the majority of people were out enjoying their lives. If it helps you to say that you were unselfish and considerate of others (or in reverse that we were selfish) by all means.
I'm just happy we didn't throw away a year of our lives.

You are selfish and you are raising entitled brats

Sure, like I said if it helps you just keep telling yourself that you are a more virtuous person than I am. I have zero regrets and I am happy that we haven't been living in fear.

+1

A lot of these posters would be the ones calling for adulterers to be burned at the stake, back in the day. It has nothing to do with public health- they just want to be able to shame and chastise with impunity.

OMG comparing people who care about others to people who burned people at the stake to justify your own bad behavior. Now I’ve heard it all.

People don’t get any lower than you guys. I’m sure you drive drunk, too, no regrets. Seriously, FU.

Well, here's the thing. While you are toting your kids out and about, not worried because YOU are vaccinated, your children can catch and spread covid to a lot of people who are NOT vaccinated yet. Thus, the warnings about maintaining distancing and masking and so on until the pandemic is truly under control and more people are vaccinated. To only think of yourself and your children is exactly what people mean when they say you are selfish.

We don't need a vaccine to get us out of this pandemic and back to normal, we need to hand out more Xanax.

The only people who need Xanax are those of you carrying on as though there is no pandemic. Or perhaps large doses of Benadryl would be better. We would like to knock you all out so that you can't leave your homes.

If it is hard for you to comprehend concern for others, then *your* are the person who needs medication.

What does that look like? Kids won’t be vaccinated for a long time. Once the elderly and high risk are vaccinated, what’s the harm?

Perhaps you haven't heard that there are many people who can't get vaccinated because they are immune-compromised. And many children are also immune-compromised. Moreover, we are talking about right now, when 80% of adults have not been vaccinated, including many who are still high risk but didn't qualify for the first round of vaccines or haven't been able to get an appt.

This! In about six weeks or so everyone high risk will have had the opportunity to get vaccinated, time to be done with this lunacy.

Do you just make things up? Immune compromised people can absolutely get the covid vaccine,

I just took my teenager out to dinner. We went early and there weren't many people there.
Anonymous
Yes I would (and will, soon, just got my first shot).
