What you are trying to imply here with your vague allusion to facts you are not sure of - that the vaccines will not offer protection against the variants - is simply not true. The practical implications of the findings you are pointing to (without providing a source) are not nearly as alarming as you would like to pretend:

Seriously, ::checks calendar::, did we time travel back to late January?

No is expecting to ever eradicate COVID, this isn't small pox. Like the flu, there are variants every year. as a parent if you are terrified to send your kids back, dont. All kids in vitural need to be put into virtual school together. There is no reason to not have kids in school 100%, no restrictions in the fall. DC is now 20% vaccinated. And its moving faster every week.

Agree. We might need to be vaccinated every year but yes I want to leave my house so I will. I will mask regardless for flu season. Not getting the flu has been great.

98% in person full time in fall.

We’ll be 9 months into Biden, and 10 months into American scientists’ vaccine.

Biologist here:
Flu variants are much much more variable than COVID variants.

With cohort mixing now permissible, will aftercare be an option?
