I read it. Just read it again. I don’t see anything that says it was already voted on and approved last year, which is what I thought was the case. The SB had been approving calendars well in advance of this in recent years.

The last post on the first page literally says the decision is TBD.

Yes. I see that. I thought perhaps it had been approved last year and now it’s being reconsidered. That’s what I thought might be the case now.

Why must we align? Parks& Rec have camps during spring brk.

I totally disagree with aligning with other districts. If we stagger, we get better travel deals from local airports.

This. I don't give a shit what other districts are doing. It sucks if you work/have a kid in different districts. But, you know what, that is the plight of all working parents. Sorry.

Yup, that's the whole point of camp.

Seriously. What do they think every other working parent does? I'm a professor and I'd be thrilled if spring break got moved to the second week of March as it would actually coincide with my spring break. Normally we can't go anywhere during FCPS break because it doesn't align with mine, and I can't just take time off during the semester to travel for fun. If this version of the calendar doesn't get approved I'll just plan to pay for camp like I always do.

“ IT IS ALSO A THING that there is no set time or length to do this among countries in the world.

I've always thought spring break was totally unnecessary for any grade. What, the excuse is that students need a "mental break"? ”

You replied to me. I don’t care if spring break is a handful of days and posted that i don’t care if it is not next to Easter - I just want it early April so it is not dreadfully cold while I take a day or two off locally to spend with the kids.
