| Yup |
| I wonder how many slots in the class will be taken up by the 1.5%? I wonder how many slots are left for those who get in by merit. |
Merit is out either way. It’s just about ensuring a certain minimal level of geographic diversity. |
I thought I heard one SB member say 55%. I’m not entirely sure though. |
| Well, theoretically the remainder will be allotted in order of highest evaluated. The problem is they have those nebulous experience factors in as one of the things that get you points in the evaluation system. |
That seems high. |
| Omg, they just said they’re going to be continually talking about TJ! Best to try to discourage my 8th grader from applying. The school will be a shadow of itself in 5 years. |
It was Tholen and I think she was referring to it as 55% of the TJ seats available to FCPS students, assuming an increase in the class sizes to 550 kids (other jurisdictions will also get seats). |
| That’s huge! And what happens if there aren’t enough interested kids at some schools? |
| Keys Gamara has to go. |
|
FCPS... Moving Forward!
2021 slogan. |
I wish. She, Omeish, Andersen, Frisch are a mess. |
| They are going back to race and diversity. |
| Just curious, is Meren confused most of the time because it's her first year on the SB ? Or is she just permanently in a state of flux whenever she speaks? |
| After this debacle, they should ALL be recalled, not just Cohen, Omeish and Tholen. They are just so awful. |
