FEINSTEIN: Hun, it’s time for you to retire!

I didn’t realize she was 87. She should resign. California should be represented by someone more capable than Feinstein.

I don’t agree with all of AOC’s politics but I wish I had a rep and senators who advocate for their constituents as passionately as she does.

I don't want to do this on the Congressional floor but this is a serious problem.

.The Senate can expel her for any reason. If she is really that bad, that would seem to be the best thing for the people of California and the country, but I suspect they won't because she is not the only Senator who needs to step aside.

Only 15 Senators have been expelled in nearly 300 years. All of them prior to the 1900s and all of them for being Confederate sympathizers.

Other Senators have been threatened with expulsion but they resigned. Doesn't sound like Feinstein understands the gravity of the situation if she has severe short-term memory loss.

She should resign right after Biden's inauguration with a nice ceremony and recognition of her accomplishments.

It is very sad that it's at this point, but it is and it's not going to get better.

Gavin Newsom is going to have a blast with all the appointments.

Yep.

Two Senators.

One Attorney General.

One Secretary of State.

It is going to be difficult because with such a slim House majority, it'll be hard to pluck democratic reps.

I don't see this as difficult. California has a ridiculous deep bench of qualified Deputy Attorney Generals, retired House reps, Mayors, etc.

Bringing back Hilda Solis wouldn't be a bad idea for instance - former Congresswoman of nearly a decade and former Secretary of Labor.

I'm really disappointed in the New Yorker for publishing this NOW. Let's wait a few weeks and let President Biden get sworn in before we start tearing down Democrats. Between this and the Hunter Biden tax story I smell agenda.

Feinstein has nothing to do with Biden and she is a critical reason the GOP was able to push through the nomination of a barely qualified Supreme Court Justice in record time.

You think Feinstein will mentally capable enough for the drag-out fights pending over legislation and appointments in January or February? Better to get her removed before then.

Katie Porter does. I'd love for Porter and Bass to be appointed to the Senate seats.

Pelosi as well. She's gonna need a diaper soon like Feinstein.

Agree with the subject line and think the same way about Pelosi and deloro. They are all fossiles.

Diane’s treatment of the kids who came to talk to her about the green new deal is what made me realize it’s past time for her to go. Shame on her family, staff and senate colleagues for enabling this mess.
