I didn’t even notice he was missing.

haha - we're about halfway through season 2 and I hadn't even noticed.

How were they all black belts at the end of season 1 already?

Finished season two and spoiler alert - Daniel’s son returns from camp as obnoxious as ever. I can relax now.
But woah, that didn’t end as I expected.

Pp back - my husband and I finished watching last night. Yup, sighting of the son in episode 10. Definitely didn’t see the ending coming. How was that fight allowed to continue? I feel like at this point, the drama is on the kids, especially the sam drama.

Really? Not the Miyagi way? Are they bullies?

DP. Daniel is the bully now.

Seriously? She's 12, not 7. Loosen up.

I’m with PP. I don’t think a 12 yo needs to hear the term hand job or watch numerous blow job references.

We watch with our 13yo and he has not heard these terms before.

My 5th & 7th grade daughters love cobra kai. I appreciate that there are no sex scenes to fast forward through. I personally have no issue with language. Handjob/blowjob- my kids have no idea what this stuff is, and it goes right over their sweet innocent heads. At some point, a human being learns these words, probably from friends.

Just starting season 2, feel that Kreis (sp?) coming back does not work well.

Anonymous wrote:I don't think the new Daniel is dorky - I think he is an entitled jerk. And I say this as someone who loved him and rooted for him in the original Karate Kid! Daniel is so obsessed with his high school rivalry that he uses his money and power to try to crush Johnny, who is trying to do something to turn his life around. Some of the scenes with William Zabka in them were hard to watch because he looked so defeated and desperate. Daniel doesn't even see that he has become the bad guy.

This was my take, as well. Spot on.

He was the bad guy all along. Comes to town, starts interfering in another guy's relationship, decided to soak Johnny - unprovoked - at the dance, has his handyman friend beat up Johnny and his friends and, importantly, "wins" the tournament with a patently illegal kick to the face. Of course he became an entitled douche car dealer - that's where he was headed all along.

If I disagreed and said “fight me” this thread would become very meta.

Perceptions of good guy/bad guy aside, you can't deny that the "winning" point was scored on an illegal kick.
