I think the concern over games with other teams is off IMO. The risk of transmission is primarily within the team where there is much more contact (practices, water breaks, bench etc). I also think there is more risk off field than on field where the kids forget and cluster and talk with each other. Same goes with the parents. The contact with the other team is all on field and not sustained. Sure we can't say it is impossible to catch COVID during on field contact, but I think what is the bigger risk is to catch COVID through absent minded off field conduct within the team. |
