I am terribly sorry to hear this PP. It’s a disgusting shame to see politicians and stakeholders playing political chess games with a 99.96% survival rate virus.

The real pandemic are the mental health issues and isolation-induced thoughts/feelings our youth have and will continue to experience.

Out of curiosity, where are you getting a 99.96 survival rate from? Reason I ask is a friend keeps bringing up that same number but can't/won't tell me where he got it. I've seen .3% IFR for my age group (and 10% for my parents), which is concerning enough for me. .6% overall is a number I've seen a few times as well.

One study estimated the Infection Fatality Rate at 0.3% for 50-59 and 10% for 80-89. To put that in perspective that is less than 1 in 300 and about 1 in 10.

An individual's risk may be higher or lower depending on risk factors.

Treatments are evolving. Fatalities increase among the elderly in areas where they are not treated.

There is also some evidence that the virus may have become more infectious and less deadly due to mutations.

So what you are saying is:
If you are on the "unlucky" end of the stats...too bad.
Let them play soccer. Let's not do as much as we can to prevent more deaths.

WTH

As long can my kids still dine inside and then go to a newly reopened movie theater, soccer won't be missed much

anything is possible but will wait for an official announcement

if they do cancel, what do clubs with A and B teams in CCL or EDP (assuming those leagues go forward) do with their C, D, E teams? Refund those players and wish them well, bloat the rosters of better teams, hope those players are satisfied with just practices?

They will form local leagues...like pods

If they are going to do it I hope they do it quickly so we can look at other options. I think most clubs are moving forward with Rec so that could also be an option.

The dominoes will continue falling until Northam shuts it all down. It helps to pay attention.

Northam hasn't imposed new restrictions for months. Movie theaters are reopening locally. If the leagues shut down, it's their decision, not a response to Northam

This is not true. Just a troll. Relax everyone. Be patient.

Cant see them cancelling the season. If you look over the teams listed. Only about 20% of teams if that many are Montgomery County teams. Its safe to say If you're in northern VA its a go for the fall.

if your name is Loudoun Soccer it’s all gOOd. Parents will happily pay $2.5K for intraclub scrimmages with subpar coaches.
