What's the issue if the dog goes to a loving home? |
I know this is an old comment, but you are a despicable human being. Truly awful. |
Serious question, why does a dog “deserve” love? Do chickens, pigs, and cows deserve love too? |
If it goes to a loving home why is it so bad? It's like parents putting up a baby for adoption if they know they can't handle a baby. Obv it's later but it is a dog not a human. |
because they give us so much love. My shepherd mix would take a bullet for me. If treated right, dogs are amazing. |
Pigs are apparently quite intelligent and affectionate. Do they all deserve a loving home too? What if the dog does not “give love”? The arguments that rehoming a dog is never justified just makes no sense. |
The issue is that the op is giving away a dog with a lot of problems onto someone else. What if this person can't handle it? Then the poor dog is rehomed over and over. If you don't see this as a problem thsn I don't know what to tell you. |
Excuse me? Why does a dog who is living in your home worthy of love? Were you dropped on your head as a baby? Do you lack a heart? |
OP: have you gotten a trainer? I am a dog trainer, and would not recommend you give away your dog to just anybody. first, if your dog is really this important to your kids you need to let them pitch in. I recommend starting off with getting yourself a personal dog trainer who will come to your house once a week, and work with you and your pooch. Problems with dogs often reflect the effort put out by the owner. If your kids really want to keep this dog you've got to let them do the work, most likely because you have been so anti, the dog is not as friendly to you as it could be. your dog can sense that, by the way. You said the dog was a rescue which honestly that was your first mistake, always get your pets from a breeder. You also could have a really abused dog (if it was a rescue there's a possible reason). from what you've written, it sounds like your dog suffers from separation anxiety (like FOMO) my dog (a not-so-mini bernedoodle) used to suffer from this as well. This may be caused by previous abuse and or not having a parent-like figure ( a momma dog) around to guide your dog. something that might help is to introduce you pet to more people and a lot more dogs! But until you've tried it all I wouldn't give up on her just yet! |
can chickens, cows, and pigs tell when your not breathing? Low on blood sugar? how about suicidal? depressed? I didn't think so! Dogs are a lot more intelligent than the farm animal you ate at Mcdonalds for lunch hon! |
either yes it's working but your feeding your dog drugs or no, the chewing actually is helping (i'd go with the second one) Chewing, distracts dogs from tearing things up and pooping on the floor. an idle mouth is up to nothing but trouble, keep giving you dog toys to chew on, and give her treats when she is good (just sitting not making noise) |
no kid can keep focus for that long.and if you assign a child to do anything they will most likely not do it correctly, maybe ask your children if they want to keep the dog, then some of them will step up |
there right there this is your problem, NEVER I REPEAT NEVER stop using the crate, it is a bad habit, and you should stop it as soon as you can, you sleep in your bed, the dog sleeps in it's. also you keep her on a leash right? when she's out of the crate? NEVER TAKE YOUR DOG OFF THE LEASH!!!!!!!!!!!! this is just bad all around, you probably never set any ground rules for yourself and now the dog is a mess, and you want to get rid of it? it's because you never set any ground rules, from what I've read, you let her walk around your house from the very beginning (bad choice) you keep her off of her leash (another bad choice) and you bought her a crate she can get out of? (yet another bad choice)https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.pixabay.com%2Fphoto%2F2015%2F07%2F13%2F20%2F49%2Fdog-843801_1280.jpg&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fpixabay.com%2Fphotos%2Fdog-cage-only-843801%2F&tbnid=ZoNy2glKwpXehM&vet=12ahUKEwi36_jp4dz0AhXQF1kFHbYrAcgQMygAegUIARChAQ..i&docid=J_e2p29AP7LAoM&w=1280&h=853&itg=1&q=dog%20crate&safe=active&ved=2ahUKEwi36_jp4dz0AhXQF1kFHbYrAcgQMygAegUIARChAQ dogs can't get out of a crate like this one, there on amazon get one before you give that poor dog away

I do think it is a problem. Aggressive dogs should be put down, not shuffled from home to home. |
99% of dogs can’t do those things either. And I bet if some other animals were trained they could do these things too. So again, why are dogs more deserving with any of these animal? |
