Low opinion of her own race, or... Troll lying about her own race. (Race is one of the principal issues the right wants to use to divide us, by getting us to argue about it.) |
The dumbs still do but other than them, no. |
I don't have particularly strong feelings about this word. It is just one more in a long list that I've chosen to block. There just happens to be a thread about it. I actually have stronger feelings about the post suggesting that white children in DC are only exposed to black drug users and criminals. If someone started a thread about why I have blocked "Trumptard" (you will get blocked if you quote this post), I suppose you would think I have strong feelings about them as well. |
That's....not what I meant at all. |
A name being banned is real? You must’ve missed the Becky craze before the K-worrd came along. At least the Becky’s seemed to know it was a joke. |
I speak for myself, family and friends who are born and raised here (or moved here) who do not reflect the AA’s the original poster described. Her statement was self-hating and patently false. And calling me that word means absolutely nothing to me. |
Never said I speak for all AA’s, nor could I. Use your critical thinking skills pls. |
As you called for it to be deleted.
|
| It was already deleted. |
Is that a woman? I was assuming it was a man. |
I don’t know so I kept my post gender neutral. |
I actually agree with a lot of what pp is saying above because I've seen it first hand with my 11 yr old son. Three years ago we transferred him from a private Catholic school with little diversity to a much more racially/economically diverse public school in the city. He's done well academically but I've noticed that he's beginning to make racist statements, using vast generalizations about POC that we've never taught him. The only place he's getting it is from school. We of course try and teach him differently but as pp says, kids are particularly susceptible to developing unconscious bias and carrying it with them. Thank heavens we have a number of family friends that are black and Hispanic that do not fit his stereotype of the kids at school. What pp is saying is it'd be like if an UMC black child moved to a school where many of the children were poor white kids from trailer parks. Of course they are going to get a totally biased view of white people that may not be accurate. |

I agree, using k*aren, becky etc... is an opportunity to use backwards racism and can be as offensive as the n word, etc.
-not white |
| Becky is a derogatory American slang term for a white woman |
