Oh my. I was offended that my thread (with two pages of civil discussion last I checked) about woke parents was deleted. But censoring the K-word is beyond ridiculous. Never mind, let's go back to the multi-page threads spewing hatred against feds and 30+ pages of speculation about a private citizen's legal and marital issues.

I understand that it's because I identified myself as a black woman in that thread, and this forum has made it clear time and time again that the black POV is not welcome. But please, continue calling me ignorant. Not just ignorant, but one of the most ignorant things you've ever seen. I'll give you credit for just being selective about how you moderate your website, rather than simply being racist. Another millennial. I feel like everyone our age was saying this word mockingly (not seriously) maybe 3-5 years ago and now it's just hitting the mainstream older moms. It's not actually a bad word. It's just something you want to avoid being, or, at least that was the case when everyone I know was still saying it every once in a while.

I think half the people (myself included) had no idea that there was a K-word and even if they did, they probably thought it was spelled with a C. So I think some of these posts sound racist or ignorant but it is because we are too young for those cuss words. I remember the first time someone said "gy9-ed" to me and I was shocked, because I really didn't know what it meant (it's racist against gypsies) but none of us know that. it is a generational thing.

The K-word, really people? Some internet teasing of basic white women is not in any way shape or form anything close to throwing around the N-word. One has a long and violent history, the other is mostly a joke. Just stop.

I hate the K word. It isn’t anywhere near as offensive as the n word. But, imagine referring to all AA women with long nails as LaShanda. Or all Hispanic men working blue collar jobs as Juan. It’s a hateful stereotype.
