All my friends are SOCIALISTS

Socialism: state owned breweries providing a choice between two or three brands and a couple of variations -- when they are in stock.
Capitalism: the endless array of IPA brands and variations at Total Beverage.

Unrestricted capitalism would be the fire department paying someone to set your house on fire so they can charge you a fee to put it out.

Don't forget the good old slave trade

So I hear a lot of posters hear love the Norway model. Why don’t you move there? I am not being sarcastic, I am asking an honest question. Are you that patriotic that you won’t change your life for something better? Is it family that keeps you here (hint, phone calls and occasional visits)? Friends (hint, you can make new ones)? Is it too cold and dark? Go there and live the life you’ve dreamed of. Seriously, why not?

Because I was born and raised in this country, and I prefer to work on making things better in this country, which is my country.

I don’t speak the language. My work is here and I doubt I could find something similar abroad. My family is here.

Please stop pretending there are no barriers to moving to a new country. It’s hard, that’s why people don’t leave, in many ways we’re stuck here.

And we’re trying to make our country a better place. There’s still hope that it could improve. The hope that things could improve someday is enough to keep many here.

Conservatives to refugees: Make your own countries better!
Conservatives to Americans: If you don't like my vision of America, leave!

The far right would like everyone to believe that thinking social programs are a good idea = socialism. But that doesn't make it true.

Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid...all social programs. Wanting to support and expand social programs does not mean one is a socialist.

First, I am more of a Libertarian than a Conservative. I don’t won’t you to leave but am wondering that if your are so awe inspired by other forms of government why you don’t leave. You know why and so do I. Because Capitalism is superior and always will be. Now, extreme Capitalism is not. There are limits of course. But, don’t go too far left lest we tamper the spirits of innovation and competitive will. THAT, is my point. Less government, more free markets. Especially in business. And if you are going to try to provide health care, then provide health care, don’t provide health insurance, provide the freakin care, directly. #inthePACpocket.

Let's all become socialists just to annoy the idiots on dcum

Instead of: if you don't like it, leavit should be: if you don't like something, do something. Don't just complain

Last I looked we do not live in a wonderland

Huh? How am I a hypocrite? I have looked in the past. It was not easy, and certainly would be next to impossible to find two positions for myself and my spouse.

Yes, you are correct, for the time being I am “stuck” here, so I’m trying to bake it a better place to live.

Liberals to Conservatives: Go back to your backward red states. And, remembers, we, Blue State citizens, are paying your bills. So, watch it. This Blue State moderate Democrat is tired of subsidizing the deplorables in your Red States.

Dude, if you already know the answer, why do you even bother asking?

Now, as it happens, your answer is wrong, but whatever.

You don't have to be a conservative to dislike socialism. I am a centrist and I dislike socialism.
