Your choice for putting your kid in a crappy situation. |
| 100% guarantee MILLIONS of college parents don’t pay the kid’s rent on April 1st. |
Kids go to school Adults sign rental agreements/leases |
|
I have been a land lord. If I did not get the rent, the mortgage did not get paid. Not all landlords are rich; I bought a place as a grad student, and rented out rooms.
|
Again, your choice for doing this to your kid. You can troll all you want across multiple threads, but you’re still a crap parent. |
Kids grow up Kids cannot legally sign rental agreements or leases. You have to be an adult to do that |
| Why is this unethical lunatic starting multiple threads on this topic |
| As a landlord in a college town, I would be thrilled if my tenant cleans the kitchen and moves all her stuff out. I am not expecting to recoup rent and I will not report her. Built this kind of economic downturn into the rent. |
|
The landlord bears no responsibility for a tenant's unilateral decision to abandon the tenancy, absent the landlord's failure to provide that for which the lease or law requires the landlord to perform.
Welcome to life, kiddos. |
Most college kids have no income and require parents to cosign the lease, this means they're on the hook for the rents. The parents risk their credit if they don't pay. You're an idiot if you think MILLIONS of parents are willing to let their credits be ruined. |
Why do slumlords hoard neglected residences and make money doing nothing? |
| My DS was in grad school for 4 years (age 23-27). I had to co-sign on 3 apartments over that time period . |
Why did you move off campus? You should go back to living on campus. Don't sign any leases you can't commit to. And stop complaining about a choice you made; take responsibility for your agreement. You did, in fact, agree. |
Then I hope they are okay with their kids living at home, because they might find it difficult to find another apartment. |
You’re an utter imbecile......and you’re cheap and dishonest to boot. |
