Such a tragedy for all the families involved.

While has was an awesome ballplayer, I'm struggling to remember how he was a poster child for human potential in other ways.

Some humanitarian causes he supported:

TMZ is a very reliable source.

Most news outlets would hold this info, even if confirmed, until they were sure loved ones were already informed.

He seems like a good dad, who died taking his daughter to practice.

Tragic.

That doesn’t mean it’s inaccurate. Many news outlets quote TMZ, that’s how accurate they are.

They have made some major blunders in their drive to be "first" to report. That is why I am skeptical of their reporting.
I always check for confirmation when they report. I prefer accuracy to speed.

Honestly, it’s been long enough that if it wasn’t true someone close the family would’ve already corrected it. Like his agent.

I find your comment odd. Why would’t his prodigy level athletic ability be enough to be awe inspiring?

Very sad. I live in the area and he owned Mamba. He poured money into this facility and it was a first class youth sports academy for regular local kids. He will be missed.
