He’s the Eeyore of the SB. |
If I ever need to know how to let someone down gently I’ll know who to turn to. |
I really think listening to this- they are all on board. |
| I like what Talento and Johnson were talking about with Key, that if they do have a meaningful number of families not move to the new location, they could keep the same number of smaller classes during the transition so they don’t have to lose trained immersion staff that they would have to replace later. |
| And they just confirmed that Reed will open under capacity to avoid a capacity crisis since the school can’t take relocatables. Another McKinley freak out struck down. |
Why? |
Lisa Stengel said that when they do boundaries next year, some Abington students will be moved elsewhere. She didn’t say this, but odds are it will be to Drew. |
Staff said that students will have to move. |
| NVD just effectively cast her vote for proposal 1. |
Thank you. I like this no-nonsense APS. I think in every way it will be better in this post-Murphy era. It's like the staff decided to be empowered and do their jobs instead of having to spend all their time on the Murphy PR machine. |
| I’m impressed listening to Stengel just now. That was a pretty detailed explanation of how housing and students population patterns have changed over the past ten years ago. |
| Got the votes? |
Yes. Reid might make a pointless gesture, but I think even he will come around. |
| The staff and Cintia Johnson are sounding strong. I’m glad the board appears to be ready to make moves. |
| Also really impressed by Stengel talking openly about errors her office has made in the past with projections and how they’ve change process to avoid repeating them. |
