APS: Think the "no move" campaign is going to work?

How do you know this? I've been following this issue pretty closely, especially on the McKinley side. I haven't seen anything suggesting the three schools are working together.

Plenty of McK families want to move over to Reed. It’s not like the entire community of each of these schools is fighting against change. To say “Key, McK, and ATS have united” is misleading. At best there is a minority coalition.

I'm not a betting person, but I'm betting on the move happening.

Ugh cave to pressure, not literature. Lol.

If only it were literature! Imagine if people could only speak at SB meeting if they spoke in rhymed couplets, or a single haiku!

A single haiku limit would be amazing.

Oh what a dream that would be!

Fortunately Reid is pretty ineffective at asserting positions or persuading people, so even if they convinced him, he won’t do more than “spitball” without taking an actual position.

I'm not surprised this happened. He is a lying liar. Luckily, NVD doesn't tolerate him, so it will be fun to watch her take him on.

Especially since the no move scenarios sacrifices Long Branch, among others.

Who do we talk to to get all feedback on APS decisions written only in haiku form? Brilliant.

SB members serve the entire county. That’s why they have office hours and any citizen can come talk to them, not just families who attend a particular school or schools. This is not an isolated situation, SB members talk with constituents all over the county all the time.

This might be the best thing I've seen on dcum in awhile. Please bring haikus to the SB meetings!

Yes, but particular school concerns are supposed to go through the school liaison. You can also talk to them during SB open office hours. But having secret meetings with individual PTA officers when the staff is actively trying to discourage such meetings because they destroy transparency is irresponsible and undermines his credibility. I wouldn't believe a word of what he might say in support of McKinley on Thursday because I don't know what kind of deal they tried to make with him.

Can't wait to see what "promises" McKinley claims Reid made during those meetings.

Staff is continuing to defend their work. The School Board will be voting against the staff and the superintendent if they don't move.
