If your children haven't done as well as you thought they should have -- how would you change things

We are indeed honored and humbled that you just happen to review the board that doesn't really interest you ... only when you're bored.

Can you hear my teenage friends gagging in the background?

Any other pearls of wisdom?

The adults are also gagging...

Something just clicked! I was poking around other threads and I realized that you're the idiot who talks about other posters' "auditory and visual" hallucinations! On a red-shirting thread that really doesn't interest me but I was bored and housebound in this snow. A few months ago you tried this phrase and used the word "auditory" incorrectly, and I corrected you.

Please, tell us how old you are. You really are too immature to be mothering kids.

Be careful, you may get locked up for paranoid schizophrenia and never see your children within the walls of Ivy.

She doesn't need the deserved diagnosis of paraniod schizophrenia to never enter the Ivy boundaries. Odds in Vegas are that her children will not even get accepted to an Ivy.

Sorry, I don't play with immature grownups. Especially not boring, repetitive, unoriginal ones who sock puppet themselves. That's you.

Out of here....

...to play in the snow with your Ivy bound kids (oops, sorry, one is already at Yale)

You can buy your way into Ivy for the other with the high income you so eagerly brag about!

Agreed.
Get out of here.

Words from a nutcase who started a thread charging that people who aren't hell-bent on getting their kids into an Ivy must be disappointed in their kids and looking for a do-over, parent-wise. Yes, you've earned our respect, and we definitely want to hang with you! Not.

I guess the poster got you pegged, nutcase. Paranoid schizophrenics do have these hallucinations you allude to. Are you medicated yet? I will add you do have signs and symptoms of manic depression too. For your husband's and daughter's sake, I advise you seek therapy.

OP, this post speaks volumes about you. As much as starting this thread, insulting public schools, or claiming in another thread that people who aren't dead-set on the Ivies for their kids must be resentful and disappointed.

OP, if you want to get your kids into an Ivy, here's how. Perhaps the most important skill is being able to argue coherently and cogently. They will need this skill for reports, SAT essays, and discussions in class. And they need to be able to make their point in logical terms, using facts and persuasion -- not by resorting to insults that my six-year-old could make up.

So much animosity on these anonymous theads -- is it cabin fever? Atheists or non Christians trying to ruin Christmas? Or, is it really just Ivy envy?

To people who insult people by calling them crazy or some other infantile name -- get a grip and get a life. Some geniuses have suffered from mental illnesses -- they're no laughing matter ... perhaps you'll find out for yourself one day and then you won't find it funny at all.
Happy holidays!
