Yes. My son has friends with parents like you and they are all on Xanax. It's sad actually, im sad for them and for your children. You are you kids biggest risk factor. You really need help.... but I'm not the first to tell you that am I. |
Actually, I saw you kids swimming in a lake, it seems a pool was just a gateway to worse things in life. I'm really sorry. Do you want a good recommendation for a counselor. |
Ok, let's see this purported data. |
You made the claim- please post a single peer-reviewed study that indicates teenagers who drink are less likely to become problem drinkers in college/as adults. |
| Hey crazy lady with the 28- and 30-year old, do your kids even talk to you ever? I feel so sorry for them! |
Read my post. I didn't make reference to peer reviewed studies or any claims related thereto. You are the only one who has said anything about studies. So let's see them. (And you are somewhat misinterpreting my statement. I don't believe someone who drinks a lot in HS all of sudden changes in college. Brett Kavanaugh and his ilk drank plenty in college. But, when people have very restrictive parents who try to eliminate any alcohol use, it often leads kids to want the forbidden fruit and to be ill prepared to handle it. In contrast, someone who drank occasionally, and generally moderately, in HS is often better suited to handle the freedoms of college.) |
Hit close to home, didn’t it.

See the following: http://www.legalflip.com/Article.aspx?id=20&pageid=94 https://www.criminaldefenselawyer.com/resources/criminal-defense/crime-penalties/virginia-minor-possession-alcohol-charges-penalt Parents exception still exists in VA: “Parent or guardian supervision. A minor may be served alcohol by an adult in a private residence when the minor is accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult spouse. (Virginia Ann. Code Section 4.1-305(A).)” It is illegal to serve other people’s kid. Kids drinking on their own is illegal, and definitely needs to be squashed by parents like any other illegal behaviors. |
| Serve my teen and I’ll report your ass. |
| Not ok with even a sip . I’m 37 I’ve never drank. If I can’t a child can’t either. |
Nobody is talking about serving kids beer. Jeez suck freaks on this thread. |
Wrong someone posted that it was okay to “serve the team” in their home. |
Then quote that post if you just post you’re talking to the original post |
Quote. Even if it’s “a typo”, I stand by my point. Also, if you leave beer unchecked/unsecured at your home and my teen comes home drunk, I will report you. I expect you to parent in your own home. |
Nope. Not upheld by data. |
