I’ve never posted a response to this forum, but I’m doing so because I want to thank responders for their kind and thoughtful comments. It may be wishful thinking, but hopefully one day we can see other people’s children the same way we see ours.

Amazon policies prevents many workers from being able to work full time means they don't receive the same benefits. In 2018, 1/3 of Amazon workers in Arizona were eligible for food stamps.

Amazon paid $0 in corporate taxes last year on its $11B in profit. In fact it received a refund. This is due to the 2017 tax bill.

And, you don't think any other retail company does that. They all do. You do realize that newly enlisted military families also qualify for food stamps.

He's not running those companies, others are. Those workers wanted higher wages. They now pay way over minimum wage in most areas but in order to do that, they had to cut other areas. Its a trade off. Many are actually better off on public benefits and a lower wage, especially for child care and health care.
