What should I buy at Costco?

I don't think this is as true anymore as it used to be. Kirkland organic eggs have a certified humane seal which means that independent certification ensures that each hen has at least 108 sq feet of outdoor space. The certified organic just means they are given organic feed. Prior to 2016 they were just organic, called "cage-free" which has multiple vague meanings and often similarly sourced as cheaper eggs. The current ones are not as good as buying from a reputable local farm/farmer's market but they do ensure hens had access to adequate outdoor space. Any consumer may or may not decide that's worth paying more.

Pretty sure they don't. You might be thinking of pasture raised chickens and eggs.

My wife would buy everything at Costco. She likes consistency and predictability. I'm convinced we spend too much, but it's her department, so I let it go.

For example, she always buys apples. They are always the same price, and they're always okay. If she shopped at Giant, sometimes they would be okay, but sometimes they would not look so good. Sometimes they would be on sale (cheaper than Costco), and sometimes they would cost more. The difference is that if I went to Giant and they weren't on sale or didn't look good, I wouldn't buy them.
I'd buy grapes or bananas or oranges or whatever other fruit was on sale. She would just complain that she should've gone to Costco.

These are what I'm thinking of: they have a certified organic and a certified humane label (it's hard to see in the image, but I recognize it).

Party cheese
Meat
Salmon
Bananas - but will stop as last two times they went bad; now I know why
Detergent
Toilet paper
Milk

We used to buy sparkling water; but now switched to amazon delivery - cheaper and delivered.

Has anyone used Costco delivery? I know the prices then go up but like the consistency and convenience...

Will only buy at Costco:
Toilet paper
Paper towels
Trash bags
Dishwasher detergent
Laundry detergent
Sparkling water
Wine / booze
Love beets - a four pack lasts for 3 months and is the price of 1 at Whole Foods.
Salad kits but you have to use same week
Books - can save $10 on a hardback
Rental car - agree w PP on saving here

I recommend downloading the Costco app. I check it once a week and look for stuff we might need. I also love @costcodoesitagain on Instagram, they have posted items I never would have found on my own!

I am very curious whether the "certified humane" eggs are any better than Costco's previous purchasing practices (which were not humane). If anyone has real information that is current, I'd appreciate a link.
