What should I buy at Costco?

True. And no one has mentioned the monthly warehouse savings. The items seem to cycle around. I stock up when an item is on sale and wait if I know it will be on sale again, like dental floss (which is currently $4 off). Right now there is currently a promo for proctor & gamble products spend $100, get $25 back.

If I don't stay away from the displays and center aisles, I negate my savings.

This isn't true if you go with a list and stick to the list! Gotta stay strong

PP here - Oil of Olay Regenerist line is one of the most highly recommended products by derms the last several years running. How old are you? 11?

Np. You’re being ridiculous, unfunny and idiotic. Good on you.

Yeah, people are just putting down their grocery lists but do you know for a fact that it's cheaper than say Safeway or Giant or Trader Joes or Aldi? I buy everything at Costco but I have no idea if it's cheaper than other places. I just shop there because I hear that it's cheaper. With that said, the things that I think are cheaper than other places (except maybe Aldi not sure) are...

Gas
Beer (Miller Lite 36-packs)
Wine (Kirkland)
Organic Milk
Cheese Sticks
Eggs
Maple Syrup
Rotisserie Chicken
Steaks

But we buy all of our produce etc from there. I'm surprised so many families have trouble with the portion sizes of their produce that it goes bad before you can finish. We have a family of 4. Two parents and a 11 and 13 year old. No problem finishing bag of Brussel sprouts, bag of asparagus, bag of 5 avocados, pack of 3 cucumbers, bag of broccoli, some times we don't finish all the berries. But in general, we rarely have to throw anything away.

On the flip side, I don't know of anything specifically that I know is a bad deal. Anyone?

+1. Even giant for some items when on sale.

We do our weekly grocery shopping at Costco. Backfill as needed at grocery store for specific items/sale items, but otherwise done and done.

+1 we buy everything at Costco, go every week and only refill what is needed. We used to go every two weeks but always ran out of stuffs mid week.

It’s a long trip for us so not worth it for weekly shopping. I just get milk, fruits, vegetables at giant / trader joe’s / farmers market.

Maybe, but the Aldi's in Chantilly has gross produce and the Costco produce is almost always great.

I think she is referring to plantains. Which are plantains, not "weird bananas."

Lol! That would have tasted really weird if they took it for a banana.
