George can be heard saying “Good for him”. What should he be apologizing for? |
Seriously. It’s like people are just waiting for something to be upset about. |
You can hear George Stephanopoulos laughing heartily at her comments. I never heard George say “Good for him.” |
Millions of people — dancers, male and female — and their supporters disagree with you. |
He did. Rewatch the clip - he definitely says "Good for him" |

Lara’s on-air apology and segment:

| She's an idiot. Even football players are doing ballet these days for coordination/balance. Why would anyone make fun of a child for loving to dance? No wonder American boys are messed up and becoming killers. They have moms like Lara who discourage kind/creative behavior. |
| Ironic considering they host Broadway shows to do segments. In fact, she introduced Hadestown in their first post-Tony appearance on TV. All those Broadway actors took ballet at some point in their musical theater training... |
I'm 42, and was a serious dancer as a child. And I remember reading about football players doing ballet in the 80's. This is not new. |
I guess you've never had a son feel like he had to drop something he liked because other boys gave him a hard time about it. |
| She's probably just venting her inner rhythmless frustrations. I'd love to see someone challenge her on the dance floor. |
| I actually though George S was a dancer in his youth, but don’t remember clearly now. |
But that's exactly the point. What kind of person laughs at an activity that a child is doing?!? Prince George is royalty. Her comments will have absolutely no effect on his life whatsoever. He'll probably never even know about it. But other little 5 year olds around the country - boys and girls - are learning yet again that grownups will make fun of something they like if it isn't "usual" How sad. |
| The football players in my high school in the 80s were indeed taking ballet. I didn’t know it was such a thing in other places as well! |
That was Rahm Emmanuel, former Chicago Mayor and one of Bill Clintin’s inner circle (along with Stephanopoulos). George S really sucks — no apology from him for laughing at what Lara said on-air. His laughing along was just as bad. Sorry PP, no one heard him say “God for him.” Like that overrides his going along with the mocking. I cannot stand him. What a jerk. |
