Good for Prince George liking ballet! It is good for little boys. Lara shouldn’t have said what she said but it is being made into too. Oh a deal.

I'm positive none of those kids will grow up to be professional dancers since being a professional ballet dancer requires a set of genetic traits not many people in the world possess, but ballet lessons for kids, regardless of their inborn abilities, are extremely beneficial. Well more so than, say, football that half of his country worships.

But Lara Spencer and Co are too provincial to grasp that.

Ballet before the age of 6 is really just creative movement and doesn't do s*** for any of these things. At these age, they would get more benefit from a gymnastics class.

Cool, Prince George is 6, so he’s ready for that extra serious ballet that actually does teach those things.

She's worse than an idiot; she's smug and classless. It wouldn't surprise me at all if she was a mean girl in her youth.

+1. I can't stomach that show anymore. All of them suck.

This dancer/choreographer, Sam Quinn, is organizing a "Good Morning Ballet" dance protest tomorrow morning outside the GMA studio. For every person who dances formally or not.

Hope there are lots of supporters there!!!!!

Spread the word if you know anyone in NYC --

"Anymore"? How do people enjoy ridiculous yammering by idiots ever? Honestly, I hate morning shows and "news analysis" shows.

I read a newspaper and occasionally watch "The Graham Norton Show," maybe the occasional James Cordon clips. That's about it.

+1, textbook adult mean girl, in addition to not very bright, and now pretending to be "horrified" by her "error" (Hey Lara -- we can tell the difference between being sorry for what you said VS. sorry that it blew up in your face. There's a difference).

Disagree and I rarely disagree. I don’t think she was mocking Prince George, per se, but it was an insult to boys everywhere. The way she said the word “ballet” was smug and stupid.

Ridiculous to say what she said, no matter what.
-mom of a girl ballet dancer-they all work so hard.

They were just laughing at unusual activities for 5 year old boys. Honestly, people are MASSIVELY overreacting to this.

Lara called Travis Wall, famous choreographer, to apologize. Looks like she will do some sort of segment this morning on male dancers:

When Gene Kelly’s widow calls you out for being a b*tch, maybe you are. Having said that, the fault is with GMA. Lara just reads the dummy cards that someone else wrote for her. People clearly thought this was ok to say.

Just saw the segment and it was nicely done. They had 3 top dancers on with Lara and her apology appeared sincere. I do wish there had been a bit more direct discussion about how some types of dance are more socially acceptable for boys versus others (e.g. hip hop vs ballet).

Has anyone seen GMA today? Did Lara/George do an on-air apology?
