This President - despite all of his horrible choices of words - cares about the community most heavily impacted by an unfair criminal justice system.

I was told he alone can fix it.

You know what? At least he and others in the GOP are trying to move the needle.

By castigating the other? Sure.

I just take solace that every time Trump does this, and his supporters scramble to insist it's not racist - no really he's just trying to help - it just motivates that many more people to get this POS racist out of office.

GOP begged for resources to assist our dedicated agents. Of course there are management issues that come with the territory but, to claim these overwhelmed and overlooked civil servants are somehow not deserving of the respect, admiration or support of Members of Congress who literally voted for the budget authorization and the appropriation is a weeeeee bit hypocritical.

Anyone who cages children and separates toddlers from their mothers does not deserve any respect, admiration or support. Sorry.

309 homicides in 2018.

I thought you people have been telling us that under Trump and with easy access to guns that rates of violent crimes are down. Which is it?

Something significant happened between 2014 and 2015 in Baltimore. Does anyone know?

The homicides had been in 200s before 2015. Ever since 2015 it has been in the 300s. What happened?

Anything to do with Freddie Gray?

That's probably it. Freddie Gray died in April of 2015. It appears that one tragedy had a profound impact on the city.

Yep, just need the GOP to stop blocking legislation that would actually go to address many of the issues at hand, including slum lords like Kushner.

You really want to continue with that narrative? Just a reminder that it was the Obama admin. that actually built the "cages."

Accompanied minors were not separated by Obama from their mothers. And these facilities were not woefully and willfully overcrowded, resources were given to ensure sanitary conditions etc - something Trump is inflicting on the kids who are there now.

Seriously. What human being wants to live in squalid meth-infested rural America?

Shh. That doesn't fit the narrative of the left.

I see no con wants to take up discussion of Jared Kushner's role in the slums of Baltimore.

With a score leaps and bounds over Missouri, you may be surprised to see Washington, D.C., as No. 1. WalletHub also put D.C. as the worst state for drug use and addiction overall, as well as the worst for drug issues and rehab.

LOL

It’s clear opioids have hit D.C. hard — but that’s not the only drug problem the capital’s dealing with. Rehabs.com reports the city saw a huge resurgence of the hallucinogenic drug PCP starting in 2014. And usage is higher in the nation’s capital than any other state in the U.S.

No other president has said such things about an American city. All it does is create division as the natural pushback will be against the methamphetamine ravaged small towns in rural America.

The study also concluded blue states, or those that go to Democrats in elections, had bigger drug problems than red states, which are governed by Republican majorities.

States with the the highest percentage of adult drug users were Vermont, Alaska, Colorado, Oregon, and the District of Columbia, while Utah, Texas, Alabama, North Dakota, and Iowa had the lowest percentage.

Washington, D.C., topped every state in a new study for having the biggest problems in terms of drug use and addiction.

The District of Columbia was rated the worst place for drug use based on arrest, overdose rates to opioid prescriptions, and meth-lab incidents, according to a WalletHub report released Monday, the start of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration's National Prevention Week.

Missouri, New Hampshire, Michigan, West Virginia, New Mexico, Indiana, Rhode Island, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania followed D.C.
