| I'm 42 and was getting ready to do a donor embryo and we conceived naturally in September. It was a total surprise after all our efforts. I'm now 11.5 weeks along and everything looks great. |
Conceived on the first night of trying at 37. |
| Have a friend who did it by accident at age 52. Had a son graduating from college same year second child was born. |
Noooooooo |
| Second month of trying at 41. Was my first pregnancy and I’d never taken hormonal birth control regularly. I kind of guess that’s what made it easy. Did tracking, condoms and NFP before choosing to conceive. Using same methods not to now. |
| My friend was told at 41 that she was a bad candidate for ivf and then conceived naturally |
| 35, first try. 39, seventh month of trying. Healthy kids. Good luck! |

Got pregnant on the first try the month I turned 36.
Started TTC #2 at 37. I'm now 42 and we've been TTC for 5 years and I never got a single positive pregnancy test. Was diagnosed with unexplained secondary infertility. Even infertility treatments did not work. |

First child: went off birth control at age 32 but six months later hadn’t resumed my cycles. Took clomid and conceived that month. She was born soon before I turned 34.
I never went back on hormonal birth control and got my period back and quickly had regular cycles. When we started trying to conceive again nothing happened. All tests were normal and we tried for 14 months. At that point, after scheduling IVF consults, I got pregnant on my own. I had a dye study and did acupuncture and tried every day rather than every other during my fertile window the month we conceived. I don’t know what if any of those things made a difference. I was 37 when I conceived her and 38 when she was born. |
| Yes at 37 and 39. |
| yes, first try at almost 41 y/o. |
| My friend's mom had her sixth kid at 47, over a decade after the fifth one. |
|
Yes - first at 34.
got pregnant naturally twice at 37, miscarried. currently 15 weeks, conceived naturally at 38. Took me 1-3 months to get pregnant every time. I clearly don't have an issue with conceiving. Both miscarriages were likely chromosomal issues. |
This happens to women in their 40s more often than you’d think! |
| OP, do you have a good rapport with your doc? I was worried because I didn’t start trying until I was 38, but my doc told me to relax, destress and enjoy some wine or champagne. My first was born at 39, then two miscarriages and a non viable pregnancy plus a year wait before trying again at 42. Delivered second healthy baby at age 43. Come up to Bethesda - must be something in the water here! There are 40+ moms up and down my block. |
