Bezos is going to be away from Seattle a lot more in the coming years. My guess is that she didn't want to go along for this ride. He will be jetting between Seattle-DC-NYC weekly. Plus, he spends a lot of time in LA working on entertainment deals. He's never home.

He probably is to the best of his ability but they guy probably works most of the time and isn't around much. He has multiple businesses, some global.
