I keep hearing this, yet I never received nor saw anyone handing out sample ballots. Also, I don't recall seeing party affiliation listed for ACB on the actual ballot. The gymnastics people are going through over this are entertaining, though.

1. At my polling place, the Dems were handing out sample ballots. 2. At the library (polling place) I visited to drop off a book, the Dems were handing out sample ballots. 3. A friend posted a picture of herself handing out sample ballots at her polling place. 4. When I took my son to gymnastics (another polling place), the Dems were handing out sample ballots. I don't know how you missed them b/c they come at you like a mattress salesperson. |
3 people at the polls tried to give me sample ballots for Democrats. They do it every election. So, despite what you think (speaking of mental gymnastics) we are not the ones that are crazy. |
| Every time I have voted in Arlington in the past 15 years there have been Democratic sample ballots offered outside the building. |
| At our polling location (McKinley), not only were there 5 people handing out sample ballots, but they weren't following the election law that requires you to stand 40 feet from the door entrance. In the morning, there was an older guy from the ACDC who was actually passing out sample ballots at the curb directly in front of the entrance door. |
The only person outside my polling place, both when I went in the morning and when I walked back home at 430PM, was one dude in a purple Vihstadt shirt (standing way too close to the polling entrance) trying to give a JV flier to everyone in the area. No sample ballots, no party line checklists, no ArlCo Democratic Party thugs threatening to knife me if I didn't vote for Matt, despite it being the lawless meanstreets of South Arlington. |
At my polling place in SA there were two people who offered me a sample ballot. I assume one was D and one was R, that's usually been the case in the past. I declined the sample ballots because I already knew who I was voting for and I think a lot of people also already knew which way they were voting. As I said before, there are a lot of SA who are angry about the Streetcar and blame V. He was never going to win here, despite being not a despicable person while on the board. Between the GGW types and the Streetcar advocates (who I actually agree with for the most part), the granola Ds who will never vote for anyone who was ever an R, it was a lost cause here. He needed to win NA by a much wider margin in order to win. Simple math. But I give him credit for trying to win over voters in SA anyway. It would be nice if I saw other future candidates and current board members working as hard to be in the community and solving things that affect quality of life like when an abandoned/condemned house was left to sit for years so that its roof blew off in a storm and damaged an adjacent house rather than enforcing the tear down in a timely fashion. |
| Give a Dem sample ballot to a bunch of childless millennial ArlinDrones and they’ll just vote the party ticket. |
| I wonder if Mr. Bezos will reconsider now. |
| My N. Arl polling place had 5 Dems standing around giving out sample ballots and one Vihstadt person. |

Oh no, another example of SA not getting what NA gets. |
So you’re saying that voters who aren’t old fart homeowners don’t know any better? |
NP. My polling place (Walter Reed CC) had plenty of people giving out Democratic sample ballots and always has. Why are you being deliberately obtuse despite every other poster telling you that this happened at their polling place? Just because you didn’t personally see it? |
An affordable high rise in the 22207 would be a refreshingly bold and much needed idea. |
That's my polling place as well and I also saw a person giving out a Dem sample ballot. 9:15 a.m. or so. |
