As a Rock Spring person who campaigned hard for Vihstadt in large part because I believed he was the best candidate for other parts of the county on schools. I’m so effing done trying to help them. Let them have their affordable housing and shitty cc high school, I’ll fight for the best for me and mine going forward and they can fend for themselves.

Most of the precincts that will likely be zoned to the career center high school voted for MdF.

People who cared about the Career Center were almost unanimous in their support for Vihstadt. Unfortunately I guess our neighborhoods are just chock full of unengaged, uninformed voters.

Let me break this down. All the rich White people with kids voted for V. Seems most everyone else didn’t.

Almost All of Westover voted for V.

But the places already with affordable housing voted for someone who will give them more.

So, I now don’t give a hoot about the SA FARMS rate because people just voted for higher FARMS rate. And I will fight any effort to bus anyone further than the one or two closest schools.

I am genuinely worried about the future of our schools. There won’t be enough invested.

This isn't entirely true. My child is at a very high farms school and our precinct went nearly 40% for V--that is very, very unusual in our neighborhood.
