I can't decide.

Who is better/worse on schools?

This again? I’m voting for Vihstadt. The #1 thing we can do for schools is stop building new CAFs (or if we are going to build them, not concentrate them on the western Pike). Period.

John Vihstadt is the best choice. He at least is sensible and not a drone for the Arlington County Democratic Party. John has kids who went through APS and both he and his wife were PTA Presidents.

Matt dF has no kids and seems to have served on APS committees as a way to pad his political resume to get elected. Matt is in the pocket of the Affordable Housing crowd who is driving many of our Soutg Arlington schools into the ground with large swaths of concentrated poverty. If you want more FRL rates like Randolph and Carlin Sprinfs, Matt is your guy.

Absolutely Vihstadt. Only one on the board who understands that needs (public education) should come before wants (aquatic centers).

MdF would be another CB member that would act like the SB is totally independent and CB actions don't affect the SB at all (head in the sand or negligence, I'm not sure).

If you want more high FARMS schools, vote for DeFerranti. He's telling everyone the lie that AH is for teachers, cops, etc.

As if this isn't argument enough, JV is also more understanding of the necessity for the two Boards to work in more partnership. He supported the idea of putting a pool at the next comprehensive high school rather than the extravagant, costly Aquatic Center plan. He reaches out and listens. Matt defends. He's a very nice guy; but he's a return to the past that got us to the mess we're in today.

Vihstadt. We need an independent voice on the County Board. He's also top rate on constituent services. If you have a question or a problem with the county government, contact him. I guarantee he will follow up.

I'm a nominal Dem but one party rule is bad. Vihstadt has done a good job.

Nah, I'm waiting for someone to forcibly evict these "poors" from Arlington. It's too bad Corey Steward isn't running for AC Board- he's exactly the kind of Real American this county needs.
