FOIA is a very good thing. The information being "dug up" are emails, texts, documents, etc that the FBI and DOJ have been dragging their feet on providing to Congress though they are legally obligated to do so.

And they are dragging their feet because that information is part of an active investigation, and revealing it can screw it up. Normally congress respects this and doesn't ask for these things. But that tells you why it's always the same people coming up with stuff, because they're the only ones craven enough to disregard national security in their rush to paper over Trump's transgressions.

They should be doing their jobs, fighting for their constituents, not going on treasure hunts.

First of all, documents related to an active investigation are supposed to be sacrosanct, particularly when the people requesting the documents are subjects of said investigation.

Second, how have any democrats or the FBI been incriminated in any way, shape or form?

So far, the Nunes Memo has been totally discredited. If anyone is implicated, it is Nunes, who unmasked himself in early 2017 and has been trying to cover for it ever since.
