It is illegal for the FBI to use information from a source that they fired. The know this and deliberately used Ohr as a conduit to get around it.

You caught the piece where they paid millions for someone to do opposition research (legal) rather than trying to obtain it without payment, or worse as a quid pro quo if Trump became POTUS directly from agents of the Russian government (illegal)?
